The 12th One Team Annual Workshop took place near Barcelona last week, allowing Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup clubs to meet in person again to learn even more about the program and how best to implement its methodology during the 2022-23 season.

One Team, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and BKT carried out an educational session for the Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul One Team participants following the Sustainability Goal 13, Climate Action. The session was held on the new indoor refurbished court where the participants had an open debate with the qualified guests on climate crisis and gained awareness on how to take good care of the planet through various basketball exercises.

One Team-BKT legacy project: Climate Change Session

Euroleague Basketball’s One Team, together with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and BKT, executed a SDG 5 session with its One Team participants, supported by qualified guests and One Team Ambassador, Ismet Akpinar. In this session, One Team participants had the opportunity to reflect on imposed stereotypical assumptions on genders and its negative effects, meanwhile encouraging to take action towards gender equality by using the power of basketball.

The event brought together children from the local school for an afternoon of **learning, creativity, and basketball**, guided by **One Team coaches and the ambassadors** from **Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Mario Nakic, Mitar Bosnjakovic and Uros Mijailovic,** and **Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade’s, Chima Moneke, Devonte Graham and Stefan Miljenovic**. The session combined **education, teamwork and fun**, using the power of sport and technology to teach important life values.

Throughout the afternoon, participants aged 8 to 12 enjoyed a variety of **interactive activities**:

- **Welcome and introduction**, where children received event T-shirts and learn about the goals of *Bouncing for Good*.
- **Kahoot quiz** and **team challenges** that promote collaboration, inclusion, and basketball values.
- **Memory and creative games to** encourage focus and cooperation.
- **Perfect Ball painting**, where children design and decorate basketballs inspired by what they have learned.
- The day concluded with a **donation ceremony**, where the EuroLeague stars helped hand out 100 **basketballs and signed jerseys** to all participants. The celebration finished with a **fun basketball session**, **autograph signing**, and **group photo** to capture the moment.

[Following the success of its debut edition](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/one-team/news/one-team-motorola-partnership-begins-with-community-events-in-sopot/), Motorola and Euroleague Basketball are proud to announce the second season of Bouncing for Good — a community initiative developed with Euroleague Basketball’s One Team program to promote inclusion, creativity, and healthy habits among children from vulnerable communities across Europe.

After inspiring more than 500 children during its first season, the program returns this year with an expanded reach — engaging more cities, more clubs and more local entities  Building on this success, Euroleague Basketball, Motorola and each participating club will continue to collaborate with a local school or social entity to deliver activities that combine education and basketball values, aided by the technology and equipment provided through this successful initiative.

As part of the Motorola and Euroleague Basketball partnership, Bouncing for Good aims to create safe and inclusive environments where young people can learn, play, and connect. Each project is developed jointly by the clubs and their local partners to reflect the specific needs of their communities and, like last year, it will be divided into morning educational workshops and afternoon basketball donation events. By combining sport, innovation, and art, the initiative nurtures a sense of belonging and confidence, helping participants build meaningful life skills that extend well beyond basketball.

During the workshop, participants aged 8 to 12 will join interactive sessions led by One Team coaches, blending fun with education through basketball-based activities that highlight values such as respect, perseverance, and collaboration. With the support of Motorola technology, they’ll also take part in creative challenges — including, memory games, team challenges through QR codes, quizzes and a group exercise to design their own “Perfect Ball,” a mural that visually expresses what they’ve learned and experienced together.

The journey will culminate then in a donation ceremony where every participant receives a basketball and team-signed memorabilia — a lasting reminder of their effort and enthusiasm for the game.

These ceremonies will be supported one more year by current EuroLeague stars, reaffirming the players commitment to the initiative. Basketball has given me so much, and being able to give back—whether through a simple gesture like donating a basketball or spending time with them on the court—means a lot to me. I truly believe in the power of sport to inspire and unite, and I’m grateful to be involved in this meaningful program."

Last but not least, to give even more protagonism to every initiative, weeks later, during an official EuroLeague match, the “Perfect Ball” — a real basketball hand-painted by a local artist inspired by the children’s mural — will be presented on court in recognition of the participating school or organization.

Bouncing for Good Season 2 will kick off on November 3rd in the Kralj Aleksandar I school in Belgrade, Serbia, with both Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade players involved, before continuing across many other cities in Europe in the following months.

The 2025 One Team Annual Workshop brings the One Team family back together in Barcelona, Spain, for two exciting days of learning, sharing and celebration! 

This year’s theme, *“From Teamwork to Impact: Powering Purpose Together”*, reflects Euroleague Basketball’s commitment to collaboration and community. The whole Euroleague Basketball family, including clubs from the EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup, will come together to exchange ideas and build synergies for the upcoming season. The agenda features a mix of high-energy on-court sessions and focused learning in the auditorium – from showcasing best practices in participant engagement to exploring how to strengthen partnerships, improve communications and how to grow the clubs' respective programs further. 

The event will feature inspiring speakers from both within the One Team network and beyond, offering fresh perspectives and practical tools to elevate the clubs' programs to the next level. The workshop will include a panel dedicated to partnerships, featuring Blanca Jimenez from Motorola Mobility. It will also explore content creation ideas led by Nat Cortazar from The Good Egg and highlight the participation of two of the most outstanding One Team Ambassadors of the past decade, Kyle Hines and Adam Waczynski. In addition, the workshop will offer ample time to network, share experiences, and learn from one another in true One Team spirit.

The 15th OTAW will close with the 2024-25 season One Team Annual Awards, celebrating the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners, and recognizing the outstanding work of this year’s Ambassadors.

During the 2024-25 season, every team competing in the EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup demonstrated exceptional dedication to their One Team programs. Now, it’s time to recognize and celebrate the clubs and One Team Ambassadors who went above and beyond throughout the campaign.

Eight clubs have been shortlisted for this year’s One Team Awards, with three honors to be presented at the One Team Annual Workshop in Barcelona, Spain, this September: the One Team Gold, Silver, and Bronze Program awards.

The selection process focuses on several key criteria, including the clubs’ planning and execution of their One Team initiatives, ambassador involvement during sessions, marketing and communications efforts, and the engagement of commercial partners.

Additionally, outstanding contributions by individual One Team Ambassadors will be acknowledged with the One Team Ambassador Award. Three ambassadors stood out for their impactful work off the court, making a meaningful difference within their teams' communities during the previous season.

ThinkBeyond, a social impact and sustainability consultancy that supports leaders and organizations to make a positive impact on the world, will again be involved in the judging process for the 2024-25 One Team Program Awards.

### One Team Shortlisted Teams

[Olympiacos Piraeus](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/olympiacos-piraeus/oly/): Executed a dynamic and inclusive One Team program that showcased the power of collaboration and creativity. By bringing together two social partners, the club fostered connections among youngsters from different backgrounds, encouraging shared development and understanding. Over 12 thoughtfully planned weekly sessions, participants experienced a range of activities – from basketball drills and confidence workshops to special themed days such as Hero Day and Women’s Day, along with gardening and cultural outings. Shaquielle McKissic, Sasha Vezenkov, and Giannoulis Larentzakis supported the program, boosting both participant involvement and overall visibility. Communication was consistently strong, with a visible presence on social media and across the EuroLeague network.

[Umana Reyer Venice](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/umana-reyer-venice/vnc/): With a focus on emotional impact and inclusive participation, the club ran a powerful One Team program supported by high-quality communication. Over 13 sessions, it also advanced broader social goals such as internships and residential engagement. Participants were involved in impactful events like anti-violence walks, unified games, and in-arena recognitions, fostering pride, visibility, and a sense of belonging. The program’s strong media presence – through weekly social media posts, One Team Ambassadors (Juan Manuel Fernandez and Davide Casarin) activity, and TV/radio features – helped extend its reach and influence. Backed by powerful personal stories, the initiative proved its effectiveness and emotional resonance, highlighting the true spirit of One Team.

[LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/ldlc-asvel-villeurbanne/asv/): Delivered an outstanding One Team program which was marked by a deep commitment to inclusion. With 138 sessions across children, teens, and adults, the club provided ongoing, tailored support – particularly for autistic participants – through the involvement of a multidisciplinary team including doctors and psychologists. The program was strongly backed by club sponsors through donations and hands-on volunteering, while Shaquielle Harrison, Paris Lee, and Charles Kahudi played a key role as One Team Ambassadors across sessions, events, and media appearances, strengthening both visibility and participant connection. Beyond basketball, the participants engaged in a wide range of enriching experiences like climbing, rugby, TV appearances, and activities at the Paralympic Village, helping build confidence and valuable life skills. The sessions were well-structured with clear learning outcomes, supported by strong storytelling, and excellent social media presence, making ASVEL a standout example of One Team in action.

[FC Bayern Munich](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/fc-bayern-munich/mun/): The club’s One Team program blended creativity, inclusion, and community engagement. Over 26 diverse sessions, the participants took part in music workshops with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, dance and art sessions, and drawing exercises, broadening the learning experience beyond the court. The program reached 100 participants, who had never played basketball before. Visibility was strong, with content shared across multiple platforms, alongside a detailed impact report and powerful storytelling. Memorable experiences – such as visits to SAP Garden, creative workshops, and designing fan items for One Team games – helped foster confidence, joy, and lasting connections among participants.

[Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/cedevita-olimpija-ljubljana/lju/): Innovatively introduced an internship initiative that prepared participants for job-related tasks, including merchandising, email communication, and event operations. The program’s visibility was amplified through national TV coverage, active social media engagement, and a dynamic online presence. Personalized touches like amusement park visits, professional haircuts, Christmas gifts, and diplomas added meaning to the participants' journeys. With consistent involvement from Ziga Daneu, Cedevita’s One Team Ambassador, and support from other players, the club demonstrated genuine commitment. Backed by a major banking sponsor and a transparent fundraising campaign that raised €4,200 via blockchain, the program combined innovation, care, and community support to make a lasting impact.

[Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/): Implemented a highly structured and impactful One Team program centered on consistency, teamwork, and empowering participants. With weekly sessions facilitated by a committed group of coaches and volunteers, the program offered stability and skill-building opportunities throughout the season. Ambassadors played a vital role – especially Juancho Hernangómez, who was present at every session and helped raise the program’s profile through media appearances and events. The initiative was distinguished by its innovative “assistant coach for a day” activity, giving participants practical leadership experience and employability skills. Strong partnerships with Special Olympics Hellas, combined with active support from club coaches and sponsors, ensured credibility and integration at all levels. The program’s communication strategy was equally strong, with high-profile media coverage, detailed reporting, and strong social media engagement. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting gains in confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.

[Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/baskonia-vitoria-gasteiz/bas/): With 55 sessions delivered, plus Christmas camps, arena visits, backstage access, and involvement from teachers and club staff, the program offered an enriching experience. The participant group featured a nearly equal gender balance and welcomed children new to basketball, all supported by a dedicated team of coaches and a social worker focused on fostering social inclusion. Khalifa Diop, the club’s One Team Ambassador, once again made an impressive impact during the program and was an exemplary role model for the participants. Baskonia’s decade-long dedication and holistic approach underscore the genuine impact of their One Team journey.

[EA7 Emporio Armani Milan](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/ea7-emporio-armani-milan/mil/): Combining strong planning with impactful participant experiences, the program was built around clear life-skill objectives and consistent delivery. Many participants took part, with a nearly even gender split – 49% female and 51% male – reflecting the club’s commitment to balanced participation. The initiative was driven by strong internal leadership, including proactive One Team Managers, and three One Team Ambassadors – Ousmane Diop, Shavon Shields, and Giampaollo Ricci - ensuring visibility and quality throughout. The program thoughtfully integrated key themes such as International Women’s Day and Olympic values, using discussion-based learning alongside basketball activities. Communications were consistently strong across multiple platforms, with honest and inspiring change stories that highlighted personal growth and real-life impact.

They are all well-known for their play on the court, but the five individuals in the running for the One Team Ambassador Award each impacted their communities and had a positive influence on the One Team participants. Below, you will see a description of what each of the nominees got up to with their respective clubs.

[Juancho Hernangómez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/juancho-hernangomez/012712/), Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens: Demonstrated outstanding dedication throughout the season as a One Team Ambassador. He attended all 16 sessions, even stepping in as a coach when needed, and took part in additional events. Juancho strengthened his bond with the participants by gifting personalized Panathinaikos T-shirts and sharing a heartfelt speech. His enthusiasm extended beyond the sessions, as he actively promoted the program on social media and publicly spoke about its personal significance in the Greek media, inspiring others with his openness and genuine commitment.

[Ziga Daneu](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/ziga-daneu/009431/), Cedevita Olimpija Ljubjana: Showed strong and heartfelt commitment as a One Team Ambassador, attending six sessions and actively encouraging teammates to get involved. Drawing from a personal connection, he related to the participants with empathy and respect, treating them as equals and acting as a supportive mentor. Žiga also helped raise the project’s visibility through Instagram posts, contributing to wider community engagement. His efforts extended beyond the court, building meaningful relationships and promoting inclusivity at every step.

[Shaquille Harrison](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/shaquille-harrison/013371/), LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne: Stood out as a truly all-rounded and impactful One Team Ambassador. He attended many sessions, forming genuine connections with participants and teammates alike, and even gifted game jerseys to the kids, making the experience unforgettable. His commitment was so remarkable that the club created a dedicated presentation to highlight his contribution. Beyond the sessions, Shaquille actively supported the program’s visibility by featuring in a promotional video and consistently advocating for One Team within the club environment.

Oscar da Silva is more than just a basketball player. He’s also passionate about giving back – and he’s doing it in a way that’s making the difference. As an ambassador for One Team, Euroleague Basketball’s social responsibility program, the FC Bayern Munich forward is using sport as a bridge to connect, uplift, and inspire.

“We’re in a position to drive change,” Da Silva says. “One Team gives us the chance to do exactly that. It’s a way to give back to our communities and connect with our supporters in a meaningful way.”

One Team works with clubs and players across Europe to tackle local social challenges, using basketball as a powerful tool for personal growth and inclusion. Da Silva has embraced that mission wholeheartedly, first doing so with FC Barcelona and now with Bayern.

His multicultural background – having grown up in Germany with a Brazilian father and German mother – helps him relate to a wide range of participants during the One Team sessions. Many of those who attend come from marginalized communities or face challenges that put them at risk of social exclusion.

While at Barcelona, Da Silva took part in weekly sessions with young inmates, using basketball to encourage self-confidence, teamwork, and hope for the future. His consistency and warmth left a real impression.

“What makes it all worth it is the love you receive from the kids,” he says. “Seeing them smile, laugh, have fun – that’s everything. Those little moments stay with you.”

Now in Munich, Da Silva is working with the Young Refugee Center, leading basketball sessions for unaccompanied minors who’ve arrived in Germany. His focus is on helping them feel included, learn life skills, and build community through sport.

For Da Silva, these experiences have had a big impact on him, too.

“The biggest thing I’ve learned is to play basketball with joy again,” he reflects. “To treat it like a passion, not just a job. It’s made me more grateful for what I do every day.”

Looking ahead, Da Silva remains committed to being hands-on. For him, the most meaningful way to make a difference is to be a person first and a player second.

“It’s not about visibility,” he says. “It’s about being present and connecting with people face to face.”

Da Silva embodies what it means to be a One Team Ambassador: he leads with heart, connects with purpose, and uses his platform to lift others. Through his work with youth, refugees, and vulnerable communities, he’s proving that the true spirit of sport goes far beyond the game.

“What I take home is how much the One Team program means to the participants – and what’s possible through it,” says Klara Benz, Bayern’s One Team Manager. “It’s not just about basketball. It’s about confidence, empathy, and growth.”

Her favorite memory? The One Team game day, when the kids realized they’d be playing in front of over 11,000 people.

“They performed with passion and unity,” she recalls. “Their smiles and joy lit up the entire arena. I’ll never forget it.”

The goal of the One Team-BKT Legacy Project is to improve the lives of youngsters and people in need or at risk of exclusion by providing better facilities to play basketball and learn the life skills that come from sport’s values.

When Ricky Rubio heard the idea, he immediately saw the potential to do more than just resurface a court. “We wanted this to be about more than basketball,” said Rubio. “The court has so much history for the neighborhood and for the city, and we wanted to turn it into something transformational for the next generation.”

With that in mind, the Ricky Rubio Foundation partnered with Institut La Riera, a nearby school. As part of their Community Service program, students got involved in every step — from digging into the court’s history to speaking with neighbors and players and even contributing to the court’s design.

That community-driven approach was backed by One Team, Euroleague Basketball’s social responsibility program. Since 2012, One Team together with its Founding Patron, Turkish Airlines has worked across Europe to support young people facing social challenges, using basketball as a tool for growth and inclusion.

With work set to begin later this month, the refurbished Canyadó court will soon be ready for the next wave of talent — and for many more kids to make memories of their own.

The 2024-25 season, once again, showcased how basketball can be a powerful tool for change, reaching thousands of people across Europe.

Best One Team programs and Ambassador from 2024-25 season honored at One Team Awards

Every season, the One Team Awards celebrate the clubs in the EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup that make a real difference in their communities through impactful social projects. The 2024-25 season, once again, showcased how basketball can be a powerful tool for change, reaching thousands of people across Europe.

On Tuesday, September 9, during the closing day of the 15th One Team Annual Workshop, the spotlight was placed on those clubs who went above and beyond with their One Team initiatives. The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Program Awards were revealed, along with the Best One Team Ambassador accolade.

The event also featured a special call with [Kyle Hines](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/hines-kyle/002812/), a four-time EuroLeague champion and long-time Global One Team Ambassador, who underlined the value of the program after officially retiring from basketball, as well as [Adam Waczynski](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/adam-waczynski/ldx/), who spent three years as a One Team Ambassador during his time playing for Unicaja Malaga in the EuroLeague and EuroCup.

"Even though I’ve just closed the chapter on my playing career, my belief in the power of basketball to change lives remains,” said Kyle Hines, Global One Team Ambassador. “One Team proves every day that what happens off the court is just as important as what happens on it. When we come together to support these programs, we give people confidence, hope, and the tools to succeed well beyond basketball. That’s why One Team is so special – and why all of us have a responsibility to keep pushing its mission forward."

### One Team Gold Program: LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne

This year’s Gold Award goes to [LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/ldlc-asvel-villeurbanne/asv/), whose program stood out for its creativity, consistency, and deep community engagement. Across more than a hundred sessions tailored to children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual disabilities, ASVEL provided consistent support guided by a multidisciplinary team that included doctors and psychologists, fostering inclusion and confidence through basketball.

The program went beyond basketball, offering participants opportunities in climbing, rugby, media appearances, and activities at the Paralympic Village, all designed to build confidence and life skills.

“It’s a real honor to achieve the gold award for this year,” said Valentine Traclet, ASVEL’s One Team Manager. “For me it’s more important to keep this impact for the people we represent, people with disabilities, and One Team is so important for that. It is important to keep improving the program across the whole club because it has a real impact on people, so we need to keep working on this.”

### One Team Silver Program: Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana

[Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/cedevita-olimpija-ljubljana/lju/) earned the Silver Award thanks to a program that blended creativity, innovation, and genuine care for its participants. One of the standout features was the introduction of an internship initiative, which helped young people prepare for real-world tasks such as merchandising, email communication, and event operations. This practical experience gave participants valuable skills for their future while strengthening their confidence.

Adding a personal touch, Cedevita organized special activities such as amusement park visits, professional haircuts, Christmas gifts, and diplomas, making each participant feel celebrated and supported.

The program’s reach was expanded through national television coverage, an active social media strategy, and a strong online presence, ensuring that its impact resonated well beyond the basketball court.

“It means a lot to us because it’s a way of recognizing that our program is good and that we are doing good stuff for the people who cannot do it for themselves,” said Matic Lisac, Cedevita’s One Team Manager. “We’ll keep trying to do even better this year.”

### One Team Bronze Program: Umana Reyer Venice

[Umana Reyer Venice](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/umana-reyer-venice/vnc/) secured the Bronze Award for its long-standing work with local youth. The initiative combined basketball with wider social goals, including internships, anti-violence walks, unified games, and in-arena recognition, giving participants a sense of pride, visibility, and belonging, ensuring participants were supported in multiple aspects of their lives.

Communication played a central role: weekly social media posts, ambassador involvement by Juan Manuel Fernández and Davide Casarin, plus coverage on TV and radio, helped maximize the program’s reach.

Backed by powerful personal stories and authentic testimonies, Reyer Venice showed how One Team can connect hearts and minds, making their project resonate both locally and internationally.

“It was an honor and a pleasure to be here,” said Roberta Meneghel, Reyer’s One Team Manager. “Thank you for the award. I want to thank all the club, all the organization, the two ambassadors, Juan and Davide, who helped us to achieve this amazing award.”

### Best One Team Ambassador: Juancho Hernangómez

For the second consecutive year, [Juancho Hernangómez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/juancho-hernangomez/012712/) of [Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/) was named Best One Team Ambassador. His dedication and enthusiasm have set the standard for what it means to be an ambassador. Juancho not only attended every session but also actively participated in every drill, spent time mentoring participants, and consistently used his platform to raise awareness of the program.

Beyond the court, he showed genuine care by surprising participants with personal gestures and always going the extra mile to support the initiative. His involvement has been praised as a model of commitment and humanity, making him a cornerstone of the One Team mission.

The initiative took place in Hamburg, at STS Wilhelmsburg, a partner school deeply rooted in its local community, where 80 children aged 8 to 10 came together for a full day of educational and basketball-focused activities designed to promote teamwork, respect, and inclusion.

The day began with an interactive educational workshop led by Veolia Towers Hamburg’s One Team coaches, which saw the children engage in dynamic activities supported by Motorola technology, including creative challenges such as the “Perfect Ball” painting, and basketball-based learning games. The workshop encouraged participants to explore core values through play, creativity, and collaboration.

And like in every ‘Bouncing For Good’ stop, the event culminated in the afternoon with a basketball donation ceremony, during which more than 100 basketballs were distributed for the kids, the school and Hamburg’s One Team program. Every child received a basketball and signed memorabilia, turning the donation into a meaningful and lasting reminder of the experience. The ceremony was supported by Veolia Towers Hamburg One Team Ambassadors [Benedikt Turudic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/benedikt-turudic/006006/) and [Kenneth Ogbe](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/kenneth-ogbe/003242/), who also joined the children on court for basketball activities.

“Days like this remind us why basketball is so powerful,” said Turudic. “It’s not just about the game — it’s about giving kids confidence, joy, and a sense of belonging. Seeing their excitement today was really special, and I’m proud to be part of an initiative that gives something back to the community.”

Representatives from Euroleague Basketball, Motorola, and Veolia Towers Hamburg were also present, reinforcing the shared commitment to creating positive social impact through sport and education.

Bouncing for Good's next stop will be in Athens in February and will continue bringing basketball values, creativity, and opportunity to children through the combined efforts of clubs, local partners, and the One Team program.

As the 2025-26 season moves forward, One Team programs across Europe are already well underway. What started in 2012 as Euroleague Basketball’s social responsibility initiative continues to grow year after year, proving once again that basketball can be a powerful tool for inclusion, education and social change.

This season, 40 clubs – 20 from the EuroLeague and 20 from the BKT EuroCup – are actively running [One Team programs](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/one-team/our-programs/) that are tailored to the specific needs of their local communities. While each program reflects a different social reality, they all share the same goal: creating safe spaces where participants can grow, connect and feel empowered through basketball.

So far this season, One Team clubs have already launched sessions and activities that reflect the diversity and strength of the program. Inclusion remains a core pillar, with 20 programs focused on people with disabilities, offering adapted basketball sessions that promote confidence, teamwork and social interaction.

Youth empowerment is another key area of impact. Nine programs are currently supporting young people at risk of social exclusion, using basketball to reinforce values such as respect, discipline and perseverance. In parallel, clubs are addressing broader social challenges through initiatives involving refugees and migrants, prison environments, orphanages, elderly communities and situations of poverty.

Education and equality are also present on the court. School-based programs and gender-focused initiatives continue to create opportunities for learning, participation and personal development, ensuring that One Team reaches participants of all backgrounds and ages.

Beyond the weekly sessions, clubs have already taken part in meaningful awareness actions this season.

In December, One Team launched an initiative for the [International Day of Persons with Disabilities](https://www.instagram.com/p/DRy17NRCDBq/?hl=es&img_index=1) to amplify the voices of people with disabilities. By sharing often-overlooked everyday experiences, the program offered new perspectives on how participants engage with the One Team mission and benefit from its support in their daily lives. The campaign was widely appreciated, reinforcing One Team’s commitment to inclusion and meaningful social impact beyond the court.

During the holiday period, several clubs organized special Christmas sessions, turning the court into a place of celebration and connection. These moments, often accompanied by small gifts for participants, highlighted the importance of belonging and togetherness.

A defining element of One Team is the involvement of its [One Team Ambassadors](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/one-team/our-ambassadors/), with each club appointing at least one player to represent the program and give it a stronger voice. These Ambassadors serve as role models, using their visibility and influence to promote inclusion, diversity and social impact through sport, while helping raise awareness of One Team initiatives and engaging with fans, partners and local communities.

By actively participating in campaigns, events and storytelling, One Team Ambassadors bring the program’s mission to life. Their involvement strengthens the connection between the team and the community, demonstrating how basketball can be a powerful tool for positive change and reinforcing the idea that impact is greater when everyone works together as one team.

Collaboration continues to strengthen One Team’s reach. Through [Bouncing For Good](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/bouncing-for-good/), a joint partnership between Motorola and One Team, children in cities such as Belgrade, Valencia and London have already taken part in sessions that combine basketball, creativity and learning. Meanwhile, initiatives like basketball equipment donations have helped ensure that clubs have the tools they need to keep sessions active and inclusive.

With months of activity still to come, the 2025-26 season is already showing strong momentum. Programs are up and running, communities are engaged, and clubs are making a real difference on the ground.

‘Bouncing For Good’, the community initiative created by Euroleague Basketball’s One Team program in partnership with Motorola, made its latest stop in London this week as the project continues its multi-city journey across Europe. After successful activations in Belgrade and Valencia earlier this season, *Bouncing For Good* continued to build momentum in London, engaging young people through an interactive workshop designed to promote teamwork, confidence, and positive life habits. One Team coaches, London Lions staff and volunteers guided students through a blend of basketball drills, team-building exercises and creative challenges that encouraged both physical activity and personal growth.

King Solomon Academy — located in central London and known for its culturally diverse community and commitment to equity — welcomed the program as part of its ongoing efforts to support students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. With 66% of its pupils receiving free school meals, the school places strong emphasis on providing opportunities that enrich students’ educational and social experiences.

During the afternoon, *Bouncing For Good* culminated in a special basketball donation, where London Lions players [Amin Adamu](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/amin-adamu/014096/), [Mo Soluade](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/mo-soluade/004479/) and Jada Lewis from the London Lions Women’s team presented new basketballs to the school and participate in fun on-court activities with the students. Amin Adamu, also the One Team ambassador of the London Lions program, expressed his enthusiasm for being part of the initiative: “Growing up, basketball played a huge role in helping me build confidence and stay focused, so being here and sharing that with young people means a lot to me. If programs like this can give kids a positive space to learn, express themselves and feel supported, then it’s already making a real difference and I’m very happy to be able to take part of it”.

The partnership between Euroleague Basketball’s One Team, Motorola and local clubs such as the London Lions underscores a shared commitment to using sport as a tool for social good. Bouncing for Good lands in Valencia

*Bouncing for Good*, the community initiative by **Motorola** and **Euroleague Basketball’s One Team** program, continued its **second-season journey across EMEA** with a new event held yesterday in a newly refurbished public basketball court with kids from the ‘**Col·legi Diocesà Santiago Apòstol’,** at the heart of Valencia’s **Cabanyal** neighborhood.

The ‘Col·legi Diocesà Santiago Apòstol’ is a school located in the Cabanyal neighborhood of Valencia, Spain and it is deeply rooted in its local community, offering quality education to children from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

The school is recognized also for its strong social commitment and close collaboration with local organizations as its educational projects aim to promote social equality and personal growth through active community participation.

The activity brought together children from the school for an afternoon filled with **learning, creativity, and basketball**, led by Valencia Basket’s One Team players, **Sergio De Larrea and Kameron Taylor and the coaches [of Valencia’s One Team Program](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/one-team/our-programs-valencia-basket/)**. The session focused on **teamwork, inclusion, and respect**, using the power of sport and technology to inspire and connect young people from diverse backgrounds.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed a series of **interactive workshops and games** that blended education with fun — from team challenges and collaborative activities to the creative **“Perfect Ball” painting session**, where children designed a basketball reflecting the values learned during the event.

“As someone from Valencia, it is especially meaningful for me to see Bouncing for Good grow and touch the lives of children in my home city,” said **Clara Borrás, Marketing Director at Motorola Iberia.** “Valencia represents the spirit of this program — a diverse, creative community where basketball is part of our culture. Together with Euroleague Basketball and One Team, we are proud to use technology and sport to promote inclusion, creativity, and meaningful social impact.”

The celebration concluded with a **donation ceremony**, where players and partners handed out over 100 **basketballs to the school and jerseys** to all participants. Smiles, laughter, and team spirit filled the school as children and ambassadors shared one last group photo to commemorate the occasion.

“It is always great to be part of these kinds of initiatives and spend time with the kids. It's something that we value a lot and that makes us happy,” said Sergio De Larrea. "Values that have been worked and discussed today like teamwork, for example, are something that we think of and apply on our day-to-day. To help your teammate or colleague achieve the common goal. I think these are very valuable lessons for the kids, and I’m very happy to be able to contribute to this.”

The **“Perfect Ball”** created by the children will be hand-painted by a local artist and later presented during an upcoming **EuroLeague game**, symbolizing how basketball and creativity can unite communities and inspire future generations.
