Youth movement continues as Thessaloniki club secures another prospect
Aris locks in rising star Vassilis Pourlidas on 3-year deal

Aris Thessaloniki continued its investment in youth development by signing Vassilis Pourlidas to a three-year contract, the club announced Tuesday.
Pourlidas (1.95 meters, 18 years old) is the third young prospect to sign on with Aris this summer, following Vassilis Kazamias and Panagiotis Lefas. The shooting guard joined Aris in 2023 from Zafeirakis Naousas and has since impressed with his work ethic and performances in the club’s development system.
“I’m very happy to sign my first professional contract with Aris. This was my dream, and I’ll give 100% to justify the trust of those who believed in me,” Pourlidas said. “It’s an honor to belong to a club with one of the richest basketball traditions in Europe. Now is not the time for words, but for hard work.”
Last season Pourlidas played for U18 Aris at the NextGen EuroLeague qualifying tournament in Munich, where he averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals over four games, leading Aris to a 2-2 record. He is also a member of Greece’s junior national teams.
