Aris reunites with Elijah Mitrou-Long

Aris Thessaloniki continued revamping its roster by signing guard Elijah Mitrou-Long to a two-year deal, the club announced Monday.
Mitrou-Long (1.85 meters, 28 years old) last played with Varese, which he joined in February of last season and averaged 12.1 points, 4.3 assist and 2.8 rebounds in the Italian League action. The first part of last season Mitrou-Long spent in Israel with Hapoel Holon, where he posted 12.1 points and 4.0 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 23 games in all competitions.
This marks Mitrou-Long's return to Aris, where he already played during the 2022-23 campaign. Interestingly, he also played with city rival PAOK, where he started his pro career in 2020. Before that, Mitrou-Long played college basketball at Mount St. Mary's, the University of Texas and UNLV.
During his career, Mitrou-Long has also played for the Niagara River Lions and Brampton Honey Badgers in his native Canada, Apollon Patras and Peristeri in Greece, and Levski Sofia in Bulgaria. He is now set to make his BKT EuroCup debut.
