Bahcesehir adds up-and-coming guard Omer Can Ilyasoglu

Bahcesehir College Istanbul strengthened its backcourt for the upcoming season by inking point guard Omer Can Ilyasoglu on Friday.
Ilyasoglu (1.93 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Mega MIS Belgrade, where he averaged 8.6 points on 41.2% three-pointers and 4.2 assists in 27 Adriatic League games last season. He started his career with Anadolu Efes Istanbul, making his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut in the 2019-20 season. Ilyasoglu played in the 2020-21 EuroCup with Frutti Extra Bursaspor, averaging 7.5 points and 6.5 assists in four games. He has also played for Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul before joining Mega. Ilyasoglu helped Efes win the Turkish League in 2019 and the Turkish Cup in 2022. He has also been a member of the Turkish national team.
