Besiktas bags veteran forward Conor Morgan
Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul added another weapon to its frontline with the signing of Conor Morgan for the 2024-25 season. Morgan (2.06 meters, 29 years old) arrives from the London Lions, with which he averaged 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds last season in helping the club reach the BKT EuroCup Semifinals.
This will be Morgan’s second stint in Turkiye after he finished the 2022-23 season with Bahcesehir Kolej Istanbul. Besiktas will be his sixth EuroCup campaign after previous stints with Joventut Badalona, Morabanc Andorra, WKS Slask Wroclaw and London. In the last five consecutive seasons, he has made 81 appearances, averaging 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds.
A member of the Canadian national team, Morgan played college basketball at the University of British Colombia and began his professional career with the Southland Sharks of New Zealand in the 2017-18 season, after which he joined Joventut.
