Besiktas inks scoring ace Kyle Allman
Besiktas Emlakjet Istanbul added a major weapon to its backcourt by signing Kyle Allman. Allman (1.91 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Darussafaka Lassa Istanbul, for which he averaged 13.0 points and 5.3 assists in nine appearances in the Turkish League this season.
He displayed his scoring in last season's EuroCup
The combo-guard had spent the previous two seasons in France with Paris Basketball. He averaged 18.7 points per game in the EuroCup last season, but was limited to 10 games played. His average would have led the competition if Allman had enough appearances.
His journey to Besiktas
A two-time All-Big West Conference First Team selection in college at Cal State Fullerton, Allman made his professional basketball debut with Lavrio in the Greek League in 2019. He joined VEF Riga the following season and led that team to the 2021 Latvian League championship as the MVP of the playoffs. Now he joins a Besiktas squad that is ranked fourth in Group A of the BKT EuroCup with a 6-3 record and seeking to reach the playoffs.
