Besiktas loans Uros Plavsic from Crvena Zvezda

Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul has upgraded its frontcourt with the addition of Uros Plavsic. The center arrives on loan from Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade for the remainder of the season. Plavsic (2.17 meters, 26 years old) joined Zvezda over the summer on a three-year deal and averaged 5.2 points and 2.7 rebounds over 11:25 minutes in 10 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games.
Plavsic grew up with Mega and was moved to the club's first team in the 2015-16 campaign, before getting his feet wet in professional basketball as a teenager the following season with Smederevo in the Serbian League. He then spent four seasons playing college basketball at the University of Tennessee. Plavsic returned to Europe last season and averaged 15.4 points on 68.5% two-point shooting and 7.7 rebounds for Mega, which he helped reach the ABA League semifinals. He will now make his EuroCup debut with Besiktas.
