Blazic is ninth all-time in the EuroCup in scoring
Cedevita, Jaka Blazic commit for 2 more seasons
Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana and Jaka Blazic will remain together through the 2025-26 season after they agreed to terms on a new deal, the club announced on Wednesday. Blazic (1.96 meters, 34 years old) averaged 16.1 points on 40.9% three-point shooting and 4.5 rebounds in 18 EuroCup games last season, which was his sixth in the EuroCup.
This is Blazic’s third stint with the club, where he played between 2011 and 2013 and then again between 2019 and 2022. Over his first two runs with the club, he appeared in 20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.
Blazic enters the season ranked ninth all-time in the EuroCup in scoring with 1,207 points. He needs 6 more three-pointers to reach the top 20 in that category. Blazic has made 150 career triples.
He came through the youth system at Triglav Kranj in his native Slovenia and also played for Slovan Ljubljana before he first joined Union Olimpija Ljubljana – the predecessor to Cedevita Olimpija. Blazic has also played for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade in Serbia; Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, FC Barcelona and MoraBanc Andorra in Spain; and Bahcesehir College Istanbul in Turkey.
