Cedevita Olimpija Ljbljana added plenty of fire power to its backcourt by inking shooting guard Sean Armand to a one-year deal, the club announced Saturday. Armand (1.93 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Avtodor Saratov, where he averaged 6.8 points and 5.6 assists in 9 VTB League games last season. He started the 2022-23 campaign with At Ittihad Alexandria of Egypt, averaging 6.8 points and 5.2 assists in 5 Arab Club Championship games.

Armand started his professional career with Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt of Germany, and also played for Istanbul Buyuksehir Bedeliyesi, Socar Petkimspor, Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul and Gaziantep Basketbol of Turkiye, Zenit St Petersburg of Russia, ES CHalon-sur-Saone of France, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada of Spain, as well as for Lebanese powerhouse Dynamo Lebanon. Armand had a brief experience in the BKT EuroCup, averaging 4.7 points in 4 games with Zenit in the 2018-19 season.
"I am very happy to sign with such a big club, that plays in the BKT EuroCup and the Adriatic League. The club finished the season in the semifinals against Partizan in the regional league, and in the EuroCup they did not have the best season. But with the new coach, with a huge reputation, we hope that we can make some good things with the new season that is coming up," Armand said after the agreement. "Hopefully, we can pack the arena and get the fans to the game, as Cedevita Olimpija has one of the best crowds in Europe. The fans that may not know me, will get the chance to meet me. I’m back, motivated to play, healthy, happy and ready to go."
