Besiktas Emlakjet Istanbul punched its ticket to the playoffs by downing Veolia Hamburg Towers 83-94 after overtime at Edel-Optics.De Arena in Round 15 on Wednesday. Besiktas, pushed by hundreds of fans in this road game, improved to 9-6 in the standings while Hamburg dropped to 2-13.
Jonah Mathews paced the winners with 22 points, including 9 in overtime. Angel Delgado posted 17 points and 17 rebounds, Kerem Konan added 14 points and Kyle Allman 12 for Besiktas. Will Christmas led Hamburg with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Hughes scored 18 points and VJ King had 12 for the hosts.
