The shooting guard returns to Germany after leading SYNTAINICS MBC in scoring last season
Hamburg looks to cook with Johnathan Stove
Veolia Hamburg Towers have signed shooting guard Johnathan Stove for the remainder of the season. He will be eligible to make his BKT EuroCup debut later this week when Hamburg visits Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana. Stove (1.93 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Greek side Maroussi Athens, where he averaged 10.2 points in five games this season. He return to Germany after averaging a team-high 16.4 points per game last season for SYNTAINICS MBC, including a memorable 41-point effort against Niners Chemnitz.
After playing college basketball at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Stove began his professional career in 2021 in Albania with Vllaznia Shkodra. After an impressive start, he was signed by Israeli club Hapoel Galil Elyon, with which he won the Balkan League. Stove played for BC Nokia in Finland in 2022-23 and then in Germany last season.
