Jerusalem loses center Gabi Chachashvili to torn ACL

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem announced on Monday that center Gabi Chachashvili has suffered a torn ACL. The big man was injured during his team’s Israeli league victory over Bnei Herzliya on Sunday night and the severity of it was diagnosed following an MRI on Monday. Chachashvili has been a valuable asset for Jerusalem this season. He started in 11 of his 17 appearances in the BKT EuroCup and in which he averaged 5.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Jerusalem will face the winner of Wednesday's eighthfinals game between Dreamlife Gran Canaria and Umana Reyer Venice in the quarterfinals next week.
