7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys has announced on Tuesday morning a signing of Martynas Varnas to a one-year deal with an option for another season. Varnas (1.96 meters, 26 years old) has spent the last three years with a fellow Lithuanian side Siauliai. Varnas grew up with Zalgiris Kaunas, where he made his pro debut as a teenager. From there, he moved to Pieno Zvagzdes in 2017, followed by a season apiece with Nevezis and Prienai, before settling with Siauliai. Back in youth categories, Varnas was the MVP of ANGT Kaunas tournament in 2014. He won a bronze medal with Lithuania at the U18 European Championship in 2015, and a silver at the U20 European championship in 2016. Varnas is now set to make his BKT EuroCup debut.
