Manresa inks shooting guard Alfonso Plummer

BAXI Manresa added a dangerous scoring weapon to its backcourt, announcing on Monday that guard Alfonso Plummer will be wearing club's uniform in the upcoming season. Plummer (1.84 meters, 27 years old) played with ratiopharm Ulm last season, but is currently with Capitanes de Arecibo in his native Puerto Rico, posting 16.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds in league games.
Last season with Ulm was Plummer's first full BKT EuroCup campaign. He appeared in 17 games, all but one off the bench, and averaged 11.4 points on 42.1% three-point shooting, along with 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Plummer averaged 2.4 triples per game, which was fifth best in the competition last season. He also scored 10.0 points in the German League, helping Ulm reach the playoff finals.
Plummer has previously played briefly in the EuroCup with Paris Basketball during the 2022-23 season, making three appearances. Plummer has also played professionally for Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico in the G-League. Before that he played college basketball at Arizona Western College, the University of Utah and the University of Illinois.
