Reyer broke the game open with a 14-1 second-quarter run, led by 22 at halftime, and then kept the lead safe in the second half as the visitors attempted a rally. Davide Moretti and Mfiondu Kebengele had 15 points apiece, Tyler Ennis had 12 points and 6 assists, while Aamir Simms scored 10 in the victory. Xavi Lopez-Arostegui had 17, and Matt Costello collected 14 points and 7 rebounds in defeat.

Brancou Badio scored inside and Nate Reuvers from the outside in the early going, but Kabengele had a dunk and Ennis a short jumper to help the hosts to an early 8-5 advantage. Costello hit a three-pointer for Valencia, but Kabengele took one to the rim and then nailed a corner triple, only to follow it up with a tough turnaround jumper to help open a 19-12 lead. However, Badio and Semi Ojeleye each had a three-pointer to cut it to 21-18 after 10 minutes.

Reuvers made a tough layup early in the second for the visitors, but that was in between two baskets from Simms. Moretti followed it with back-to-back triples that opened a 31-21 lead. The run did not end there, even after a Valencia timeout, with Moretti, Simms and Ennis extending it to 37-21. Valencia was held without a field goal for full 5 minutes before Lopez-Arostegui nailed a triple, but Alessandro Lever and Simms extended the margin to 43-26 with buckets from close range. The hosts continued with their relentless defense, then running it the other way, as Kyle Wiltjer and Kabengele made it 49-28 in the final minute behind a 10-1 run. Moretti's triple, his third, put 52-30 on the scoreboard at halftime.

The teams traded buckets for much of the third quarter. Lopez-Arostegui made a triple for the visitors, Jaime Pradila scored on the fast break and Costello nailed a long jumper, but Jordan Parks, Carl Wheatle and Kabengele kept the margin at 60-37. Costello scored twice more from close range and Nate Sestina hit a transition triple to help cut it to 62-46. Moretti knocked down his fourth three-pointer, but three-point-plays from Sergio De Larrea and Sestina got Valencia within 15 points and the hosts led 68-52 going into the fourth quarter.

Lever and Pradilla traded close-range baskets and, after Lopez-Arostegui took one to the rim, Simms made a hook shot to keep Valencia at bay, 73-57. However, the visitors went to the free throw line on the next three possessions, making all 6 foul shots to get the margin to 10 points midway through the fourth quarter. But Ennis scored 6 points, a driving layup, a pair of free throws and a pull-up jumper, not allowing Valencia to get the margin into single digits, 79-67. Badio did cut it to single digits and Costello's triple made it 79-74, but with just 29 seconds left, it was too late for a comeback.

Jared Harper poured in 29 points on 16-of-17 free-throw shooting plus 5 assists for a performance index rating of 38 in the win. Khadeen Carrington scored 15 points and Justin Smith and Tarik Phillip both added 14 points for the victors. Aris faces a real uphill battle to reach the playoffs after falling to 3-10 with its sixth loss in the last seven games. Sharife Cooper and Trey Woodbury both had 17 points, Darral Willis collected 16 points and 10 rebounds and new addition LJ Figueroa also tallied 16 points in the loss.

The game started with a real back and forth with eight lead changes in the first 4 minutes as Joshua Roberts scored 6 points - the last basket starting a 0-6 spurt to send Aris ahead 9-14. The visitors' offense dried up for nearly 3 minutes and Jerusalem reclaimed the lead, 16-14. There were three more lead changes with Willis scoring all 5 points for an 18-19 Aris lead after 10 minutes. 

Woodbury started taking advantage of his size difference by going to the basket for Aris’s next 6 points, re-establishing a 5-point lead at 20-25. Yovel Zoosman and Harper drained triples and 5 Carrington free throws put Jerusalem back up 33-32. Two three-pointers in the final 38 seconds of the first half had Aris up 37-41 at the break.

Aris drained 3 straight triples as part of a 0-11 run early in the second half as the advantage grew to 15 points. Five points from Cooper had the visitors up 44-59 only to have Jerusalem fight back to within single digits at 51-59. Harper’s three-point play made it 57-64. Aris was holding strong and was ahead 63-71 after three quarters.

Jerusalem continued its surge in the final frame with the first 7 points to cut the gap to 70-71 after nearly 3 minutes. Jerusalem finally evened the game at 75-75 on a Harper triple, but Aris did not break initially despite being held scoreless for 4 minutes. Willis free throws had Aris up 80-83. Zoosman answered with a three-pointer to tie it again and Carrington’s free throws made it 85-84 with 38 seconds to play. Harper followed with a great defensive play with 25 seconds left, drawing a charge on Cooper for the latter's fifth foul and then burying 2 more free throws to give Jerusalem the lead 87-84 with 23 seconds to go. Vassilis Toliopoulos managed just one of three foul shots for the visitors and then Zoosman converted 3 free throws with 13 seconds remaining to finish the game.

Rasheed Sulaimon paced the winners with 15 points. Yogi Ferrell added 14, Fletcher Magee scored 13 and Kenan Kamenjas got 11 for Buducnost. Sulaimon and Ferrell each dished 6 assists. Aaron Best led Trefl with 17 points. Geoffrey Groselle added 16, Jakub Schenk had 10 while Nick Johnson dished 10 assists for the hosts.

Jaroslaw Zyskowski got Trefl going with a triple in transition that Ferrell bettered with a wild four-point play for a 3-4 Buducnost lead. Zyskowski kept pacing the hosts with an acrobatic put-back floater and Best's fastbreak layup gave Trefl a 7-4 lead. After Andrija Slavkovic struck from downtown, Mikolaj Witlinski and Nikola Tanaskovic traded layups. Kamenjas arrived to give the visitors a 9-13 lead. Ferrell scored off a steal in a 0-8 run that Tanaskovic capped from the foul line. Best struck from beyond the arc and Groselle followed a layup with a jump hook to bring Trefl within 16-20. Juwan Morgan and Sulaimon each buried a three-pointer to make it a double-digit game, 16-26, after 10 minutes.

Alen Omic scored around the basket early in the second quarter and Magee bettered Witlinski's layup with a bomb from downtown for an 18-31 Buducnost lead. Schenk hit a jumper, Sulaimon scored in penetration and Johnson downed a mid-range shot that made it 22-33. Mateo Dreznjak found his first points before Groselle forced Buducnost to call timeout at 25-35. Schenk and Best rescued Trefl with back-to-back three-pointers to bring the visitors within 32-38. Tanaskovic stepped up with a backdoor layup and got help from Magee and Kamenjas to keep Buducnost in control, 35-45, at halftime. 

Kamenjas kept pushing the visitors with a layup and a fastbreak basket soon after the break. Witlinski stepped up with a layup-plus-foul and Best's fastbreak basket prompted Buducnost to call timeout at 40-49. Sulaimon and Ferrell each sank a three-pointer. Groselle answered with a put-back basket but Ferrell matched him with a jumper and used the backboard to feed Kamenjas for an alley-oop slam. Best tried to change things with a driving layup that Ferrell erased with a jumper for a 42-57 Buducnost lead. Johnson improved on Slavkovic's jump hook with a triple before Omic followed a tip-in with a layup that fixed the score at 49-67 through three quarters.

Sulaimon buried his third three-pointer early in the fourth quarter. Magee beat the shot clock with a wild step-back jumper that caused Trefl to call timeout at 49-72. Schenk tried to change things with 5 quick points. Buducnost started to use longer possessions, trusting Ferrell to make the right decisions. Magee finished one of those with a catch-and-shoot three-pointer that sealed the outcome, 54-75. Trefl kept fighting, pushed by a great crowd. Morgan's two-handed dunk allowed Buducnost to seal an important victory in style.

Trefl Sopot signs combo-guard Terrell Harris

Polish League champion Trefl Sopot continued its midseason roster makeover by signing combo-guard Terrell Harris for the remainder of the season. The move comes the day after the club announced a deal with [Darious Moten](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/news/trefl-sopot-reunites-with-darious-moten/) and parted ways with Andy Van Vliet. Harris (1.91 meters, 31 years old) played for Gruppo Mascio Treviglio last season in the Italian second division, where he averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

After playing college basketball at Georgia College & State University, Harris has spent most of his professional career in Germany, beginning with Iserlohn Kangaroos and followed by spells with Rostock Seawolves, Niners Chemnitz, and Crailsheim Merlins. He has also played in Denmark Svendborg and in Turkiye for Buyukcekmece. Harris, who will play with uniform no. 2, is expected to land in Poland on Wednesday.

"Terrell will help our perimeter players, strengthen the competition and give them the opportunity to play with greater intensity," club president Marek Wierzbicki said of the signing. "We are counting primarily on his ability to score points and play well on defense, but he is also a player who makes good decisions on the court and is able to create situations for others. He is an experienced player who finds his place on the court in decisive moments of the game."

Fantasy tips, Round 13: Let's take the new year by storm!

A new week, a new year and a new opportunity in the EuroCup Fantasy Challenge. Round 13 is the first one in 2025 and after this, there will be only five more games for all teams in both groups. Winning tie-breakers could be as important as winning games for some teams, so high intensity is guaranteed in the BKT EuroCup. As for the Fantasy Challenge, as always, I have some ideas. Here are my recommendations this week:

[**Trey Woodbury, Aris Midea Thessaloniki (10.4 credits)**](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/trey-woodbury/013251/)

Woodbury had an impressive return to the competition, leading Aris to a much-needed home victory over Lietkabelis. He scored 25 points on 7-of-10 two-point shooting and 3-of-6 on three-pointers plus 8 rebounds for a PIR of 29. After missing four games due to injury, Woodbury is back and ready for more. 

[**Marcus Weathers, Trefl Sopot (12.3 credits)**](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/marcus-weathers/013297/)

I recommended him when Tarik Phillip left Trefl and Weather has stepped up. He's done really well over the last couple of games, averaging 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks for a PIR of 25.0. Trefl is all but mathematically eliminated, but Weathers and his team are ready to keep fighting for that first win.

EuroCup Fantasy tips: Round 13

[**Jordan Ford, Dolomiti Energia Trento (13.5 credits)**](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/jordan-ford/013270/)

It is do-or-die time for Trento, which needs its best players to step up in the remaining six games. Ford has certainly done so, getting a PIR of 21 or better in the last three games. During that time, he has averaged 18.7 points on 10-of-14 three-point shooting and 12-of-13 on free throws plus 4.7 assists for a PIR of 22.7. Fantastic!

[**Devon Dotson, Joventut Badalona (11.6 credits)**](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/devon-durrell-dotson/013285/)

Joventut has a 4-8 record in Group A and most likely needs to win five of its last six games to make it the playoffs. Dotson has been one of its best players recently, averaging 15.3 points on 12-of-13 free-throw shooting and 4.7 assists for a PIR of 18.3 over his last three games. Dotson and Joventut are on a mission to get to the next round.

[**Anthony Cowan, Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius (14.5 credits)**](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/anthony-cowan-jr/012003/)

Cowan is my fantasy superstar of choice in Round 13. Wolves play against Joventut and all eyes will be on Andrew Andrews, who played for both clubs. That could give Cowan an edge. He has been unstoppable lately, too, averaging 21.0 points and 4.3 assists for a PIR of 25.0 in the last four games. Cowan went for 26 points and a PIR of 33 last time against Joventut.
