Guard Lelevicius (2.02 meters, 20 years old) joins from fellow Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kaunas, where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season with a brief Round 12 appearance against Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

Lelevicius first made his name in Zalgiris's junior ranks, averaging 10.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament between 2019 and 2021.

Paris Basketball has confirmed the signing of Tyson Ward, who is now the third player from Telekom Baskets Bonn to make the move to the French capital this summer. Ward (1.98 meters, 25 years old) became a Basketball Champions League winner with Bonn last season, posting 8.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals in 13 games. He also averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 39 fixtures as Bonn reached the German League finals.

In addition to head coach Tuomas Iisalo leaving Bonn for Paris this summer, Michael Kessens and Leon Kratzer also followed the Finnish tactician by making the same move. This game is not on Trento's list of games to watch solely because the defending EuroCup champion comes to town. Last season, Trento was 0-5 and on a 17-game losing streak in the EuroCup going into a home game against Gran Canaria. But Trento played one of its best games of the season and pulled out a 75-72 win. Even in Las Palmas later in the season, Trento gave Gran Canaria a good fight before the hosts held on for a 94-88 win. Now, with Gran Canaria arriving as the reigning champion, it will be one to watch.

After playing college basketball at Cal State Northridge and San Diego State, Gomez began his professional career in 2021 in the second division in Turkey with Bursa. He then joined JDA Dijon in France later that season. Gomez will make his BKT EuroCup debut this season with Hamburg.

Joventut Badalona has signed [Deshaun Thomas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/deshaun-thomas/005094/), a player with 219 games of experience in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, to a one-year deal, plus another one in the option. Thomas (2.01 meters, 31 years old) arrives from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he averaged 4.1 points in 22 EuroLeague appearances last season, while he also helped his team win the Italian League title. The 2023-24 campaign will be the American's second experience in the BKT EuroCup, having last played in the competition 10 years ago – in the 2013-14 season – with Nanterre.

###  An experienced replacement for Joel Parra

 

Joel Parra was one of Joventut's star performers in the EuroCup last season, posting 12.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and a 14.4 PIR across 21 games, so his move to FC Barcelona left a big hole to be filled. With Joventut having signed Andrew Andrews in its backcourt, Thomas now arrives as a ready-made replacement for Parra at the 4 position. Although his numbers were lower than usual last year, Thomas was able to average 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and a 7.9 PIR in 36 EuroLeague games for FC Bayern Munich in the 2021-22 season. In his 219-game EuroLeague career, his averages stand at 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and an 8.0 PIR.

### Deshaun Thomas's career so far

 

Thomas started his professional career with French side Nanterre in the 2013-14 season, in which he made both his EuroLeague and EuroCup debuts. From there, his EuroLeague career saw him play for FC Barcelona (2014-15), Anadolu Efes Istanbul (2016-17), Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (2017-18), Panathinaikos Athens (2018-20), Bayern (2021-22) and Milan (2022-23).

Thomas has also suited up for the Austin Spurs in the G League (2015-16) and Alvark Tokyo in Japan (2020-21). He helped Maccabi win the league and cup double in 2018 before doing the same with Panathinaikos in 2019. The American forward also lifted the French Cup trophy with Nanterre in 2014. He also made it to the NCAA Tournament Final Four with Ohio State University in 2012.

The 20 participating teams from 14 countries were divided into two groups of 10 at the BKT EuroCup Draw on July 7. Each will play 18 games, home and away, against all group opponents.

The regular season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 3 and to finish on Wednesday, February 7. The top six teams from each regular season group advance to the playoffs. The first and second seeds from each group will go directly to the quarterfinals. The third through sixth seeds go to the eighthfinals to play opponents from the opposite group. The higher-placed regular season team will have home-court advantage in each pairing throughout the postseason.

The single-game BKT EuroCup Eighthfinals will be played on Tuesday, March 5, and Wednesday, March 6. The winners of each eighthfinals game will advance to play the first and second seeds from both regular season groups in single-game quarterfinals, which will be held on Tuesday, March 12, and Wednesday, March 13.

The quarterfinals winners will advance to the best-of-three semifinals, which are scheduled from Tuesday, March 26, until Wednesday, April 3, in the event that three games are necessary in any series. The BKT EuroCup Finals are to begin on Tuesday, April 9, and conclude with the crowning of a champion on Wednesday, April 17, if a third game is necessary.
