BAXI Manresa strengthened its frontcourt with the signing of German power forward Louis Olinde for the 2025-26 season

EuroLeague vet Louis Olinde strengthens Manresa frontcourt

[BAXI Manresa](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/baxi-manresa/roster/man/) strengthened its frontcourt with the signing of German power forward [Louis Olinde](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/louis-olinde/006919/), the club announced on Friday.

Olinde (2.05 meters, 27 years old) joins the Spanish side after five seasons with ALBA Berlin. Last season Olinde averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds and was worth 7.3 points and 2.8 boards in domestic play. Known for his athleticism, defensive versatility, and off-ball movement, Olinde was a key contributor in ALBA’s rotation and ranked among the team’s top defenders.

Before joining ALBA, Olinde played for Brose Bamberg and Baunach Young Pikes, developing through Germany’s top and second divisions. He began his professional career with Hamburg Towers in 2015 and has also represented Germany’s national team, including appearances in EuroBasket qualifiers.

Despite being only two years apart from each other, these teams are extremely different. The 2009 squad has no pure point guard: that season, Eidson led Rytas to the EuroCup title as the point guard once Branko Milosavljevic left the team. In that sense, Dontaye Draper is more of a classic playmaker and had a career-best season with Cedevita Zagreb.

The 2011 team has a major advantage in the paint. Lampe was right at the prime of his career and had Kirksay and Smith, two versatile, well-rounded forwards ready to help out. Kirksay had an outstanding stint in Seville and Smith was already the star that helped Maccabi win the EuroLeague in 2014. Gecevski was a good rebounder and Banic an effective scorer, but overall the 2011 side had more talent and versatility under the baskets.

The 2009 squad had its main strengths at the wings, with two superstars in Nachbar and McCarty, who could score as needed and play in multiple positions if needed be. Lyday was a terrific scorer but a bit undersized compared to either Nachbar and McCarty. The matchup between a gifted offensive talent like Nachbar against a steals specialist and active defender like Kirksay would be one to follow closely.

I would pick the 2011 team for several reasons: more power inside, more overall versatility and a well-defined point guard in Draper ready to make the difference. Of course, all opinions are welcomed!

Aris finds big man in Jake Forrester

Aris Thessaloniki fortified its frontcourt with center Jake Forrester who signed a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced Friday morning. Forrester (2.06 meters, 26 years old) arrives from a city rival PAKO Thessaloniki where he had 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Greek League action last season, while in the FIBA Europe Cup he averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.

That was Forrester’s second pro season, having made his debut in the 2023-24 season with Artland Dragons in Germany, posting 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds. Before that, he played collegiate basketball at three different universities – Indiana, Temple and St Louis.

Forrester is third newcomer arriving to Aris this summer, after additions of guard [Stelios Poulianitis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/news/stelios-poulianitis-returns-to-aris-to-boost-backcourt/) and forward [Arnoldas Kulboka](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/news/arnoldas-kulboka-brings-scoring-touch-to-aris/). Also, Aris has a new man on its bench, with [Bogdan Karaicic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/news/aris-appoints-bogdan-karaicic-as-head-coach/) taking over the head coaching job.

Mays (1.91 meters, 27 years old) arrives in Podgorica after splitting the 2024–25 season between the NBA G League’s Iowa Wolves and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, where he made his EuroLeague debut. Mays averaged 3.7 points in 10 minutes per game over 14 EuroLeague appearances and 7.4 points and 2.9 assists in 10 Turkish League games before leaving the club in January. He posted 12.5 points and 4.4 assists the rest of the season with Iowa.

A 2020 NBA Draft pick by the Atlanta Hawks, Mays played 105 games over parts of four seasons in the NBA with Atlanta, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also suited up for a handful of teams in the G League. Known for his smooth shooting stroke, high basketball IQ, and rebounding ability for a perimeter player, Mays adds versatility and experience to Buducnost’s guard rotation.

"Josiah is a player who has flown under the radar, with a good shot and excellent physical tools. He always puts the team first and is willing to do whatever it takes for the team to succeed," Coach Yonatan Alon said of his newest player. "We’re still working on the final piece of the puzzle and are very happy with the team that’s coming together."

A high school sensation, James won three state titles and was named the player of the year in South Carolina as well as a McDonald’s All-American. He played for Team USA at the U18 Americas Championship in 2018. James spent five seasons at Tennessee and helped the Volunteers win the SEC Tournament in 2022. Jones joins a deep Jerusalem backcourt, featuring reigning EuroCup MVP Jared Harper, Khadeen Carrington, Cassius Winston and Roi Huber and he will now make his EuroCup debut this season with the club.

He returns to the EuroCup after helping JL Bourg-en-Bresse reach the 2024 EuroCup Finals.

He also played a key role in King Szczecin’s Polish championship run in 2023, earning Finals MVP honors. After playing college basketball at Auburn, where he was a teammate of Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem players Jared Harper and Austin Wiley, Brown began his professional career in the G League with the Maine Red Claws and later with the Westchester Knicks and Long Island Nets. Brown first came to Europe in 2022 with Besiktas Istanbul and has since played for Szczecin, Bourg and Ness Ziona.

“Bryce’s passion and versatility make him a perfect match for our system. His energy and scoring ability will excite our fans and elevate our roster,” Ulm head coach Ty Harrelson said of his newest player.

Anthony Lamb links up with Jerusalem

[Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/teams/hapoel-jerusalem/roster/jer/) announced the signing of American forward [Anthony Lamb](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/eurocup/players/anthony-lamb/013272/) to a two year deal.

Lamb (1.98 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Dolomiti Energia Trento, for which he posted 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game over 18 appearances in the BKT EuroCup last season. He raised those numbers to 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Italian League to hep Trento finish the regular season in third place. His dynamic offensive skillset and defensive tenacity made him a key for Trento and should serve him well with Jerusalem.

"I’m very happy that Anthony is joining us," Jerusalem coach Yonatan Alon said. "He will add his understanding of the game, passing ability, and shooting, and I’m confident he will contribute to the special mix we have on the team on a human level as well."

Best of Anthony Lamb: 2024-25

The forward took a little time to get going last season as he was coming off a torn Achilles tendon suffered in February 2024, when he was starring for the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian NBL. Lamb averaged 19.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game and was sixth in the league in scoring when he went down.

Lamb was a college basketball star at the University of Vermont, where he was twice named the American East Conference Player of the Year. He split his first three professional seasons between the NBA and the G-League. After playing for the Houston Rockets in 2020-21 and the San Antonio Spurs the next season, Lamb averaged 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 62 games for the Golden State Warriors in 2022-23. He won the 2022 G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

His journey through the G League, the Australian NBL, and European basketball has shaped Lamb into a resilient and versatile contributor. Fans in the Israeli capital can expect energy, intensity, and a player eager to leave his mark and make a run at glory.

Miletic (2.12 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Spartak Office Shoes Subotica, where he averaged 9.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in 32 Adriatic League games last season, while ranking second in the competition in blocks (1.1 bpg.).

Best of Dusan Miletic: 2023-24

The big man dominated in his last EuroCup run with Slak Wroclaw in 2023-24. He was third in the competition in PIR (20.5), second in blocks (1.8 bpg.), fourth in two-point shooting accuracy (73.2%) and seventh in rebounds (6.8 rpg.). He also posted 14.9 points across 18 games.

Miletic started his professional career with Knjazevac Belgrade of his native Serbia and also played for Sloga Kraljevo before joining Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, where he made his EuroCup debut in the 2019-20 season. Miletic also played for Borac Cacak of Serbia and Basquet Girona of Spain before joining Slask. He has also been a member of the Serbian national team, too.
