### Turk Telekom rocks its first win

Turk Telekom Ankara has recorded its first victory of the 2022-23 7DAYS EuroCup season by beating Hamburg Towers away on Tuesday night, which takes both of their records to 1-1. Tyrique Jones was the standout performer on the night for Turk Telekom, recording a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double in the 83-88 road triumph, but he was also assisted by 25 points from Tony Taylor, who shone off the bench. Axel Bouteille and Erkan Yilmaz chipped in with 18 and 12 points, respectively, for Turk Telekom. Marvin Clark caught fire for Hamburg in the third quarter and scored 11 straight points en route to a team-high 23 points, but James Woodard was the only other Hamburg player to score a double-digit number of points with 13.

### Buducnost posts historic road victory

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica got into the Group B win column with a resounding 58-98 road win at Slask Wroclaw on Tuesday. It marked the biggest margin of difference for Buducnost in its 184 7DAYS EuroCup games to date. Buducnost broke open a close game by dominating the middle quarters 27-45 and then outscoring Slask 4-11 to start the fourth. Cameron Reynolds led the winners with 21 points, making 5 three-pointers, and 7 rebounds. Alpha Kaba added 16 points, Igor Drobnjak 13 and Kenan Kamenjas 10. The Buducnost defense limited Slask to one double-figure scorer, Jeremiah Martin with 17 points.

### Bourg blasts off to 2-0 start

Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse picked up its second win of the season, going on the road and downing Umana Reyer Venice 73-79 on Tuesday night in Group A. Bourg improved to 2-0 while Reyer dropped to 0-2. Isiaha Mike collected 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Bourg. James Palmer scored 16 points and Jordan Floyd had 11 of his 15 in the second half in a victory. Mitchell Watt had 19 points and 3 blocks for Reyer, while Jayson Granger scored 15 in a losing effort.

The London Lions are off the mark in the 7DAYS EuroCup after downing Dolomiti Energia Trento at Copper Box Arena. Ovie Soko had an incredible night for London in its 80-75 victory, putting up a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double while recording a PIR of 39. London, which was without star signings Sam Dekker and Kosta Koufos, had several players step up and record double-digit scoring figures, including Vojtech Hruban, who went 5-of-7 from behind the arc, Tomislav Zubcic, Luke Nelson and Aaron Best. Drew Crawford and Diego Flaccadori had 17 points apiece for Trento in the losing effort.

Game Center: London prevents road warrior sweep on Tuesday

The London Lions are off the mark in the 7DAYS EuroCup after downing Dolomiti Energia Trento at Copper Box Arena on Tuesday night.

Ovie Soko had an incredible night for London in its 80-75 victory, putting up a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double while recording a PIR of 39. Almost the entire game was incredible close as neither team was able to truly pull away once they got ahead, but in the final stages it was London who held its nerve to retake the lead and then hold onto it until the final buzzer. Trento, meanwhile, continues its wait for another EuroCup win, having lasted tasted victory in the competition on November 17, 2021.

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica turned around a disappointing loss in its Round 1 home opener with a prolific rout of its host, Slask Wroclaw, in Round 2 on Tuesday.

The 58-98 final score amounted to the biggest victory in Buducnost's 184 games to date in the 7DAYS EuroCup. It's previous three best efforts were all home wins, the largest being an 89-56 decision over Steaua Bucharest in the 2015-16 season. 

The final 40-point difference for Buducnost also tied for the second-biggest win in EuroCup history by a road team. The only bigger road wins happened at least 14 years ago, with the widest margin for a team away from home at 45 points, by BK Ventspils over Eiffeltowers Nijmegen in the 2004-05 season.

Buducnost's 130 team performance index rating was the club's second-best ever and its high-water mark away from home. Its 19 offensive rebounds, paced by Alpha Kaba with 4, matched the team's second-highest total ever.

We just hope to get better every day, that's our motto."

"I don't think the fourth quarter was our problem, I think it was the first three and a half. We were very sloppy with the basketball. We turned the ball over way too many times, we didn't execute precisely at all, \[and\] we had problems on the defensive end, so we just stayed in the game by making outside shots. That's not how you win basketball games… at least that's not how we're going to win basketball games on a consistent basis, so just not good enough over the 40 minutes.

The game got off to an electric start and appeared to be playing into Hamburg's hands, with the home team's backcourt of Kendale McCullum and Woodard causing a lot of problems for Turk Telekom, but the introduction of Taylor changed the game for good. Taylor missed Turk Telekom's Round 1 loss to Paris Basketball, but he took no time to make an impact, scoring 11 points in 6:47 minutes, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc. The game was back and forth at times, but the shooting of Taylor and Bouteille, as well as the inside game of Jones, was too much for Hamburg to handle in the final stages.

Kaba had a pair of put-backs as Buducnost raced to a 2-9 lead before Aleksander Dziewa's 5 points in a row steadied Slask. Nonetheless, Marko Jagodic-Kuridza's second triple let Buducnost double the hosts, 9-18. Kemenjas, with 3 consecutive baskets, lifted the difference to 15-26. Daniel Golebiowski helped Slask cut the difference before Lukasz Kolenda beat the buzzer for a 21-26 score after 10 minutes. Kolenda got Slask as close as 24-28 off a steal by Martin before Buducnost pulled away again to 24-35 on a triple by Trae Bell-Haynes. Drobnjak soon took it to 28-41 and the difference soared to 33-50 at halftime on three-pointers by Reynolds and Aaron White. Slask scored the first 7 points after halftime to make it 40-50 on Connor Morgan's three-pointer, but Reynolds took over then with 8 consecutive points to make it 40-61 as the visitors assumed full control to eventually lead 48-71 after 30 minutes. Slask failed to produce a quicker pace of scoring while Kaba returned to keep Buducnost's total ticking, making the outcome clear well before the final buzzer.
