Prometey Slobozhanske has signed big man James Dickey, who started the season with fellow EuroCup side Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse. Dickey (2.09 meters, 25 years old) appeared in one EuroCup game off the bench this season and contributed 1 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal in an opening-night victory over U-BT Cluj-Napoca. He also averaged 4.6 points and 3.0 rebounds in five appearances in the French League.
A three-time All-Southern Conference selection and the 2018 SoCon Defensive Player of the Year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Dickey began his professional career in Hungary with SZTE Szedeak Szeged during the 2020-21 season. He began the following season season with Goettingen in Germany before joining Hapoel Haifa in Israel. Due to EuroCup bylaws, Dickey will not be eligible to appear in a EuroCup game until the Round 8 fixture against Cluj on December 14.
