Promitheas Patras and Trevis Simpson agreed to terms on a new contract that will keep the sides together for the 2022-23 season, the club announced Wednesday. Simpson (1.93 meters, 30 years old) averaged 9.4 points on 42.9% three-pointers in eight 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, his first in the competition. He started the 2021-22 campaign with Brose Bamberg for which he averaged 8.9 points in nine German League games. Simpson started his career with another Greek team, VAP Kolossos Rhodes.

He went on to play for AGO Rethymno Aegean of Greece, Joensuun Kataja Basket of Finland, Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket of France, Blackwater Elite of Philippines, Alba Fehervar of Hungary, GSA Amici Pallacanestro Udine of Italy, Rasta Vechta of Germany and Gaziantep Basketball of Turkey before joining Bamberg. Last season, Simpson scored a season-high 17 points against Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse and made 5 of 6 three-point shots.
