Umana Reyer Venice strengthened its backcourt by signing point guard Leonardo Candi to a multi-year deal on Friday.
Candi (1.90 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Bertham Yachts Derthona Tortona, where he played the last three seasons. He averaged 4.2 points and 1.9 assists in 25 Italian League games last season. Candi started his professional career with Eternedile Bologna and also played for Fortituto Kontatto Bologna and Unahotels Reggio Emilia before joining Tortona in 2022. Candi has also been a member of the Italian national team. He took part in the 2017-18 BKT EuroCup with Reggio Emilia and averaged 3.0 points in 21 games in reaching the semifinals.

I arrive in Venice with great energy and happiness, and I can't wait to meet my new teammates," Candi said. "As an opponent, I have always seen Reyer as a solid, high-level team, against which it was never easy to play.
