Dolomiti Energia Trento has announced the arrival of Matteo Spagnolo on loan from Real Madrid for the upcoming season. Spagnolo (1.94 meters, 19 years old) spent last season on loan with a fellow Italian League side Cremona, where he posted 12.2 points on 44.1% three-point shooting, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in Italian League action.

Considered one of the most talented young guards in Europe, Spagnolo played for the youth teams of Stellazzurra Rome in his native Italy before joining Real Madrid in 2018. He played for both teams in the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, helping Stellazzurra reach the championship game in 2018 prior to winning the title with Real in 2019 and 2021.
Spagnolo made his professional debut with Real in the Spanish league in March 2020. He has also been a member of the Italian national team, and he is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
