Former 7DAYS EuroCup champion Michael Eric will return to the competition after being signed by Turk Telekom on Friday for the rest of the season. Eric (2.10 meters, 34 years old) won the title with Darussafaka Istanbul in 2018, his second season in the EuroCup after having debuted with Bilbao Basket of Spain the year before. He averaged 8.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 30 career EuroCup games.

In his championship season, Eric put up 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds as a full-time starter for Darussafaka, with whom he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut the following season. He would spend three seasons in a row in the EuroLeague, continuing to Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and CSKA Moscow, with 71 career games averaging of 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds. Eric played the first part of the 2021-22 season with Unicaja Malaga of Spain but suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Turk Telekom is currently tied for second place in Group B of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season with a 7-3 record.
