Andres Feliz to miss time with plantar fascia injury
Real Madrid has confirmed that guard Andres Feliz has torn the plantar fascia on his right foot and is set for a spell on the sidelines.
The club has not stated how long the 27-year-old will be out for exactly. The injury occurred on Thursday night during Los Blancos' Round 2 victory against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
“After tests carried out today on our player Andres Feliz by the medical services of Real Madrid, he has been diagnosed with a tear in his plantar fascia of his right foot,” Real Madrid confirmed in a statement on Friday.
Feliz joined Real Madrid in the summer after spending three seasons with fellow Spanish side Joventut Badalona. In his final campaign with Joventut, he was selected to the 2023-24 All-EuroCup Second Team and the 2023-24 All-Spanish League First Team.
Through two Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this season, Feliz’s first in the competition, he has averaged 1.0 point and 1.5 assists in just over nine minutes on the court.
