LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne reached an agreement with swingman Marcos Knight to join the team on a short-term deal, stepping in for injured forward David Lighty.
ASVEL signs Knight short-term
Knight (1.88 meters, 32 years old) arrives from AS Monaco, where he averaged 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 23 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, helping it lift the trophy. Knight led all players in rebounds (9.0 rpg.) in the EuroCup Finals, in which he also averaged 14.0 points and a PIR of 19.0. He started his career in Germany, playing for Bike-Cafe Messingschlager Baunach in the third division. He also played for MLP Academics Heidelberg, MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg and Science City Jena of Germany, Baloncesto Zaragoza of Spain, and Afyon Belediyespor of Turkey. He helped Jena win the German second division title in 2016 and also lifted the Turkish second division trophy with Belediyespor in 2018. Knight is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with ASVEL this season.
