Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz has added size and three-point shooting to its roster by signing versatile forward Nikos Rogkavopoulos to a three-year deal, the club announced on Monday. Rogkavopoulos (21 years old, 2.03 meters) arrives from Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket, where he averaged 15.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in 28 Turkish League games last season, his first outside his native Greece. He is Baskonia's second signing this summer, following the arrival of Italian point guard Nico Mannion.

Rogkavopoulos started his career with Ase Doukas Athens, before joining AEK Athens in 2017. He helped AEK win the Greek Cup title in 2020. The young sharpshooter made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in the 2021-22 campaign, averaging 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 16 games with Promitheas Patras. Rogkavopoulos has also been a member of the Greek national team, and he is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Baskonia next season.
