After a big Round 14 win against the defending champs Anadolu Efes Istanbul, FC Bayern Munich announced the signing with veteran shooting guard K.C. Rivers until the end of the season. Rivers (1.96 meters, 34 years old) last played with Zenit St Petersburg, where last season he averaged 6.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 37 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances. He arrives to boost Bayern's perimeter where Darrun Hilliard, team's top scorer who also ranks fourth in the EuroLeague with 15.8 points per game, will be absent for several weeks due to a knee injury.

Rivers has played a total of eight EuroLeague seasons, including half a season with Bayern in the 2015-16 campaign when in 10 appearances he averaged 10.8 points and 2.3 rebounds. He made his competition debut in the 2012-13 season with Khimki Moscow Region, before helping Real Madrid win the 2015 EuroLeague title. He also played in the competition in the uniforms of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and Zalgiris Kaunas, making a total of exactly 200 appearances, posting 8.2 points on 38.4% three-point shooting and 2.3 rebounds.
Previously, he began his professional basketball career with Italian side Associazione Basket Latina and also played in Italy for Benetton Treviso, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia and Virtus Bologna. Rivers's long career also has seen him play for Chorale Roanne of France, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar of Russia, Betis Sevilla in Spain, and Reno of the D-League. During that time Rivers has won two Spanish League titles with Real in 2015 and 2016, a Serbian League title and an Adriatic League title with Crvena Zvezda in 2019, two Greek League titles with Panathinaikos in 2017 and 2018 and a Lithuanian League title with Zalgiris in 2020.
