Chima Moneke shows fans what a EuroLeague game day entails
Imagine stepping into the shoes of a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague player for a day. Well, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz forward Chima Moneke wants to bring fans as close as he can to the action through his YouTube channel.
During Baskonia’s Round 1 victory over Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Moneke walks EuroLeague fans through his game-day routine.
Starting with preparing his breakfast at home, the 28-year-old – now in his second season with Baskonia and third EuroLeague campaign overall – then explains his plans for his YouTube channel and previews the Partizan game before getting himself ready and leaving for Buesa Arena.
Once he arrives at Baskonia’s gym, clearly excited ahead of the team’s EuroLeague opener, he goes through his warmup alongside his teammates. Following the team introductions, which sees Moneke get a warm reception from the crowd, he goes on to provide a commentary of how he saw the game while highlights run.
Moneke is your typical EuroLeague player, even accepting that his performance in the first half against Partizan was not up to his usual standard, but he is leading the way when it comes to bridging the gap between players and fans.
Make sure to subscribe to Moneke’s YouTube channel in order to watch more of his videos during the EuroLeague season. You can also catch up on the content he has produced in the past, which has featured Mike James, Vincent Poirier, Mathias Lessort and Ergin Ataman, plus many more.
