The point guard set the EuroLeague single-game record for assists last season, his first in the EuroLeague
Crvena Zvezda lands playmaker Codi Miller-McIntyre
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade brought in a new weapon for its backcourt by signing Codi Miller-McIntyre, who made history in his debut Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign last season with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. Miller-McIntyre (1.91 meters, 30 years old) averaged 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and a league-best 7.3 assists last season in helping Baskonia reach the playoffs.
A game for the ages
Miller-McIntyre boosted his numbers against Real Madrid in the playoffs, where he averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists, though it was not enough as Los Blancos won the series 3-0. He made EuroLeague history in February when he exploded for 11 points, 11 rebounds and a EuroLeague single-game record 20 assists in a victory over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. Miller-McIntyre became just the third player in competition history to ever record a triple-double.
Four seasons in the EuroCup
Before exploding onto the EuroLeague scene, Miller-McIntyre played four seasons in the EuroCup with Zenit St. Petersburg (2018-19), Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (2019-20), Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade (2020-21) and MoraBanc Andorra (2021-22). He has also played for Leuven Bears in Belgium, Perm in Russia, the Texas Legends in the G League, JL Bourg-en-Bresse in France and Gaziantep in Turkiye. Now he returns to Belgrade for a second stint in the Serbian capital with the archenemy of Partizan.
