Devon Hall to undergo surgery on hand injury
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has confirmed that swingman Devon Hall will undergo surgery after suffering an injury to his left hand during his team's Round 9 victory against FC Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.
Hall played just over 30 minutes on the night and was on the court when the final buzzer sounded, but tests have revealed the extent of his injury.
"Fenerbahce Beko Men's Basketball Team player Devon Hall suffered an injury to his left hand during the game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, November 12 (yesterday)," Fenerbahce said in a statement.
"After our player's check-ups at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, a fracture in his left hand's metacarpal bone was detected and his treatment has started and surgery is planned. We wish Devon Hall a speedy recovery and hope he will join the team as soon as possible."
Hall is in his first season at Fenerbahce after joining from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan this past summer. Through the first nine games of the season, he has posted 7.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and an 8.2 PIR, while Fenerbahce currently tops the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings with a 7-2 record.
In addition to the absence of Hall, coach Saras Jasikevicius is also having to deal without backguard duo Scottie Wilbekin, who is out for the season, and Wade Baldwin due to injury.
