Up until Thursday night, Zalgiris Kaunas had experienced a Jekyll and Hyde situation in this season's Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. While the team is 3-0 at Zalgirio Arena, it had lost all three of its games on the road. Yet, at Astroballe against LCLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, an inspired performance from Tomas Dimsa helped Zalgiris grab its first away win of the campaign.
Dimsa, Zalgiris have a night to remember

Dimsa had the type of performance that many guards dream of, as the rim seemed to get bigger and bigger with each make. By the time the 28-year-old missed his first shot against ASVEL, at the 9:45 mark in the fourth quarter, he already had 19 points to his name after going 6-of-6 from the field, including 5-of-5 from three-point range. He had also made both of his free throws.
With 2:53 remaining in the final quarter, Dimsa tacked on another two points to extend Zalgiris's lead to seven points, 76-83. Zalgiris went on to win the game by an even bigger margin, 76-93, but Dimsa's career-high 21 points played a crucial role in the victory, particularly when the game was a lot tighter in the first three quarters.

"Everybody in Kaunas was waiting for our first away win! I'm very happy, the team are very happy for the win, and we just need to continue to play like this," said Dimsa in his post-game interview.
With Zalgiris now in the playoff spots after this win over ASVEL, Dimsa and his teammates will be determined to maintain their unbeaten home record when EA7 Emporio Armani Milan comes to town in Round 8.
