Domestic Cups: Celebrations for Zalgiris, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce

Greece: Greens recapture the cup
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens scored the game's last 8 points in a thriller of a finish to defeat archrival Olympiacos Piraeus 79-75 in the Greek Cup final! Evan Fournier scored 6 points in a late 0-11 run that gave the Reds a 71-75 lead with less than 2 minutes to play. Panathinaikos scored the next 8 points, taking the lead on Jerian Grant's slam. Wenyen Gabriel came up with a key block on Fournier and Kendrick Nunn put the Greens up by two possessions to all but seal the win.
Nunn and Kostas Sloukas each scored 17 points to lead Panathinaikos, which ended Olympiacos's three-year run as cup winners. Juancho Hernangomez posted 11 points and 17 rebounds and Grant finished with 10 points. Sasha Vezenkov led Olympiacos with 17 points, Moustapha Fall tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds and Nigel Williams-Goss had 10 points and 6 assists in defeat.
Lithuania: Six in a row for Zalgiris
Zalgiris Kaunas lifted Lithuania’s King Mindaugas Cup for the sixth year running after erasing a double-digit deficit to defeat Neptunas 89-91. Ignas Brazdeikis was named MVP of the cup’s final four after scoring 20 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting in the final. Sylvain Francisco tallied 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Edgaras Ulanovas, Alen Smailagic and Deividas Sirvydis each netted 10 points. Desure Buie led Neptunas with 23 points and 6 assists.
Neptunas led 45-43 at halftime and twice took the margin as high as 12 points in the third quarter. Francisco and Brazdeikis each buried threes in a 0-10 run that erased most of the deficit as Zalgiris drew within 69-68 by the end of the quarter. Back-to-back threes by Smailagic and Lonnie Walker to open the fourth quarter gave their team the lead, but Neptunas refused to go down without a fight. A three by Deividas Gailius made it 89-88 with 25 seconds to go. Sirvydis responded with a three-point play and Gailius missed on his team's final possession.
Turkiye: Fenerbahce defends the cup
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has successfully defended the Turkish Cup with a 104-81 victory over Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul in the final on Sunday in Sanliurfa. Nigel Hayes-Davis was named MVP after posting 22 points and 9 rebounds for Fenerbahce, which won the cup for the ninth time.
Sertac Sanli and Devon Hall netted 14 points apiece, Errick McCollum contributed 13 and Tarik Biberovic 10 for the winners. Derek Needham led Besiktas with 20 points and 5 assists and Jonah Matthews and Berk Ugurlu scored 11 points each. Fenerbahce outrebounded Besiktas 33-22 and made 55.2% three-pointers (16 of 29) as two of the keys to the win.
Spanish King's Cup: Real Madrid is the runner-up
Real Madrid succumbed to Unicaja Malaga 93-79 in the Spanish King's Cup final at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Kendrick Perry scored 27 points and dished 6 assists and David Kravish added 20 points for Unicaja, which celebrated winning the cup for the third time and the second in the last three years. Sergio Llull and Facu Campazzo scored 14 points each for Real and Walter Tavares added 11 in defeat.
French Leaders Cup: Monaco comes up short in final
AS Monaco fell behind early and never fully recovered in losing to Le Mans 96-104 in the final of the French Leaders Cup. Trevor Hudgins led six Le Mans scorers in double figures with 25 points and Wilfried Yeguete scored 18. Le Mans captured the cup for the first time since 2014. Mike James poured in 29 points and Elie Okobo netted 23 for Monaco.
Le Mans raced out to a 10-28 lead and finished the first quarter up 14. The margin grew to 20 late in the second quarter before James got Monaco within 39-55 at the break. Mam Jaiteh ignited a 9-0 Monaco run and Okobo connected from deep to make it 62-68. Le Mans scored the next 9 points, led 66-77 at the end of the third quarter and held a double-digit advantage for most of the fourth quarter en route to a historic triumph.
