FC Barcelona managed to break ALBA Berlin's four-game home winning streak thanks to excellent shooting accuracy from the three-point arc.
Telling numbers: Triples paved way to Barca win in Berlin
Current Turkish Airlines Euroleague leader FC Barcelona had to push hard to be able to pull out a 79-95 victory out of the Max Schmeling Halle against ALBA Berlin. The winners never trailed in the game and managed to build a 51-73 advantage late in the third quarter, right after Nikola Mirotic hit 3 shots from behind the arc.
Mirotic finished having made 4 of his 8 attempts from deep, contributing to his team's excellent 14-for-23 three-point shooting overall, or 60.9%. Only four times this season have any EuroLeague teams topped 60.0% from the arc while making 9 or more three-pointers, and twice it was Barcelona doing the shooting.

Amazing accuracy was not only useful to amass such a solid margin, but also to make ALBA forget about a miracle comeback when it came within 10 points of the lead early in the fourth quarter. Kyle Kuric was the one to take charge then, hitting 3 long-range strikes to calm his team and shut the door on ALBA. The home rims were not kind to the home team, which managed to hit just 5 three-pointers on 15 attempts.
