Maccabi forced Milan to pick up as many as 19 turnovers, a new season-high for head coach Ettore Messina's team. The hosts also managed to prevent the visitors from circulating the ball, limiting it to just 9 assists, a season-low and tied for Milan's fifth-worst mark in competition history.
By comparison, Maccabi finished the game with 17 assists and 11 turnovers. That means that Maccabi dished 1.55 assists -- and limited Milan to just 0.47 -- per turnover. That marks Milan's lowest assist-to-turnover ratio in over a decade, since November 3, 2011, in a 54-62 loss against Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
Milan playmaker Sergio Rodriguez finished the game with zero assists for the first time this season, and the team's other playmaker, Malcolm Delaney, could dish only 1.

Maccabi's guards, led by Ivtah Ziv, Keenan Evans and Khyri Thomas, dominated the game tempo, suffocating Milan's point guards on defense and connecting with their big men on offense.
In a breakout performance, Ziv hfinished the game with 6 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, a single turnover and a PIR of 13.
All that led to a no-doubt-about-it home victory that may be critical in Maccabi's race to reach the playoffs.
