Anadolu Efes Istanbul added depth to its roster by inking center Egemen Guven until the end of the 2022-23 season, the club announced on Friday.
Efes adds size with Guven
Guven (2.06 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Frutti Extra Bursaspor, where he averaged 9.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in eight 7DAYS EuroCup games this season. He ranked sixth overall in two-point shooting percentage (68.0% 2FG) amond all EuroCup players.
Guven started his career with Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, making his EuroCup debut with that club in the 2013-14 campaign. He has also played for Turk Telekom Ankara and HDI Sigorta Afyon Belediyespor. He helped Karsiyaka win the Turkish Cup title in 2014 and lift the Turkish League trophy in 2015. Guven has also been a member of the Turkish national team. He helped Turkey win respective gold medals at the 2012 U16 European Championships, and the 2013 and 2014 U18 European Championships. Guven also helped Turkey win respective bronze medals at the 2015 U19 World Cup and the 2016 U20 European Championships.
