Colson returns to Türkiye after previously playing for Darussafaka and Karsiyaka
Fenerbahce signs Bonzie Colson at forward
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has signed forward Bonzie Colson to a multi-year deal, the club announced Friday.
Colson (1.98 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, where he spent the past two seasons. The energetic forward averaged 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 40 EuroLeague games with Maccabi last season.
In both of his seasons in Tel Aviv, Colson helped Maccabi reach the EuroLeague Playoffs and win the Israeli League.
Colson will mark his third sting in Türkiye. He first joined Maccabi from Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, where he played in 2021-22. He made his European debut with Darussafaka Istanbul in 2019-20. In between, Colson was the top scorer and the MVP of the Basketball Champions League, as well as the French League MVP, with Strasbourg. He has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA and for Canton and Wisconsin in the G League.
