Zalgiris ended a four-game losing run in the EuroLeague by downing reigning champ Panathinaikos 84-77. The teams are now tied at 7-4 in a four-way share of fifth place. Zalgiris made an electric start for a double-digit lead midway through the first quarter and was up by 18 in the second, but Panathinaikos, with assistant coach Christos Serelis in charge instead of head coach Ergin Ataman, responded and it was 49-42 at the interval. The visitors kept pushing and briefly led in the third quarter, before Zalgiris found fresh resolve to pull clear again. Lonnie Walker led the way with 24 points, Deividas Sirvydis had 5 triples in his 19 points, and Sylvain Francisco scored 12. Kendrick Nunn paced Panathinaikos with 19 points, and Omer Yurtseven added 16.
FC Bayern Munich 100-78 FC Barcelona
Bayern romped to a thoroughly impressive 100-78 rout of Barcelona and improved to 8-3 after the German team’s guard Andreas Obst set the competition’s all-time single-game record for made three-pointers by knocking down 11 on Friday night. Obst paced rampant Bayern with a career-high 34 points and Carsen Edwards provided perfect backup with 25, while Nick Weiler-Babb netted 14 and Devin Booker added 10 as Bayern extended its flawless home record this season in its brand-new arena, SAP Garden, to six wins. At the other end, Jabari Parker stood out for Barcelona with a career-best 26 points and Willy Hernangomez chipped in with 10, but the rest of the cast misfired from all over as the Spanish outfit’s star guard Kevin Punter endured a tough night, amassing a mere 7 points on 2-of-12 shooting from the floor.

Paris grabbed its seventh consecutive victory and eighth overall by downing Efes 84-93 on the road in Round 11. Paris improved to 8-3 in the standings while Efes dropped to 6-5. TJ Shorts led the winners with 21 points and 10 assists. Collin Malcolm added 15, Mikael Jantunen had 13, and Tyson Ward and Kevarrius Hayes got 11 apiece. Vincent Poirier paced Efes with 15 points. Darius Thompson added 15, Rodrigue Beaubois scored 13, Elijah Bryant had 11, and Dan Oturu got 10. Bryant added 10 assists for a double-double.
AS Monaco 103-92 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne
The French League derby between Monaco and ASVEL has gone the way of the principality club, which scored 65 second-half points to come away with a 103-92 victory. Elie Okobo finished with 27 points, his highest in 89 EuroLeague games for Monaco and the second-highest total of his EuroLeague career. Monaco also had Mike James (17 points), Jaron Blossomgame (14), Matthew Strazel (12), Alpha Diallo (12), and Jordan Loyd (10) score in double digits. For ASVEL, Theo Maledon had 24 points, Mbaye Ndiaye added 18, Joffrey Lauvergne netted 12, and Nando De Colo got 10.

Partizan ended a pair of losing streaks with a convincing win over archrival Crvena Zvezda in the Belgrade derby. Filip Petrusev tallied 20 points and 8 rebounds for Zvezda, which fell to 5-6.
Olympiacos Piraeus 92-69 Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz
Olympiacos extended its winning streak to six games by thrashing Baskonia 92-69 at Peace and Friendship Stadium on Thursday night. Despite the absence of top scorer, Sasha Vezenkov due to injury, the hosts dominated from start to finish and outscored the guests in each of the four quarters. With this win, Olympiacos improved its record to 8-3, while Baskonia dropped to 4-7. Evan Fournier led Olympiacos with 15 points – all of which were scored in the first half – and 9 assists. Nikola Milutinov recorded 14 points, with Nigel Williams-Goss and Alec Peters netting 12 each and Shaq McKissic adding 10. For the visitors, Markus Howard and Trent Forrest scored 12 each.

Milan continued its recent improvement by claiming a third consecutive home win, beating Maccabi 98-86 to leave the Israeli team still winless on the road. Milan improves to 5-6, while Maccabi is well off the playoff pace at 3-8. The first half was closely fought with 11 lead changes before a flurry of three-pointers gave Milan a 50-43 interval lead. The hosts led all the way after that, as Maccabi kept battling before running out of steam. Zach LeDay led Milan with 22 points, while Nikola Mirotic added 20. Armoni Brooks scored 16, and Nico Mannion had 12 points and 8 assists. Jaylen Hoard paced Maccabi with 20 points, while Rokas Jokubaitis guided the offense with 9 points and 10 assists. Roman Sorkin scored 14 and Levi Randolph added 13.

Real Madrid returned to winning ways by rallying from a double-digit deficit to beat ALBA 98-84 in the Spanish capital in Round 11 on Thursday. Real improved to 5-6 in the standings while ALBA dropped to 2-9. Xavier Rathan-Mayes led the winners with 16 points. Serge Ibaka added 15, Dzanan Musa had 13, Facu Campazzo chipped in with 12, Mario Hezonja netted 11 and Walter Tavares scored 10. Campazzo also had 10 assists for a double-double. Gabriele Procida paced ALBA with 18 points. Jonas Mattisseck added 11 while Ziga Samar, Yanni Wetzell and Malte Delow each had 10 for the guests.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna 82-86 Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
Fenerbahce erased a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to sting Virtus in Bologna for the team’s sixth straight win. Fenerbahce remained in first place and improved to 9-2 on the season, while Virtus lost its third in a row to fall to 2-9. Marko Guduric scored 9 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter to lead Fenerbahce and Nigel Hayes-Davis netted 10 of his 19 in the final stanza, including the go-ahead triple. Virtus’s Toko Shengelia scored a game-high 23 points in defeat.
