Isaia Cordinier joins star-studded Efes backcourt

After four seasons with Virtus Bologna, Isaia Cordinier is taking on a new challenge by signing with Anadolu Efes Istanbul. He signed a two-year deal, the club announced on Friday.
Cordinier (1.97 meters, 28 years old) joins a loaded Efes backcourt that includes Shane Larkin, 2025 EuroLeague Best Defender Nick Weiler-Babb, Rodrigue Beaubois and P.J. Dozier. He comes off the best of his three EuroLeague seasons to date: Cordinier averaged 12.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists, having established himself as a threat at both ends of the floor. He helped Virtus win the 2025 Italian championship.
He started his career with Olympique Antibes and played for ALM Evreux Basket and Denain ASC Voltaire before joining JSF Nanterre in 2019. Cordinier made his EuroCup debut in the first season there and broke out in the second, in which he was voted to the 2020-21 All-EuroCup First Team.
In the summer of 2021, Cordinier joined Virtus and promptly helped the club win the EuroCup and claim a berth in the EuroLeague. He has also been a member of the French national team, with which he won silver medals at EuroBasket 2022 and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
