Joel Bolomboy hyperextends knee, avoids ACL tear

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has confirmed that Joel Bolomboy has avoided a meniscus or ligament injury after suffering an injury during the team's ABA League game at Buducnost VOLI Podgorica on Monday night.
The 30-year-old did, however, hyperextend his right knee and suffer bruising to the bone. As Crvena Zvezda states, Bolomboy will receive conservative therapy and won't have to go under the knife. Crvena Zvezda confirmed to Euroleague.net on Wednesday that he will be out for four to six weeks.
Like many at Crvena Zvezda, Bolomboy had enjoyed a great start to the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, averaging 12.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.0 block and a 16.5 PIR through the first four games. He ranks second overall in rebounds and leads Zvezda in PIR.
