Kamar Baldwin to undergo surgery for hand fracture

Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz has confirmed that guard Kamar Baldwin will undergo surgery after suffering an injury to his right hand during a Spanish League game this past weekend.
Baldwin, playing in his rookie Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, has made 25 appearances for Baskonia so far, posting 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 0.9 steals, but he now faces a spell on the sidelines.
"Baskonia's playmaker has suffered a fracture in the first phalanx of his right hand and will have to undergo surgery," read Baskonia's statement on Monday.
"The medical tests performed to Kamar Baldwin in recent hours by the club's medical services, after suffering a collision in this past Sunday's game against Real Madrid, confirm an unstable fracture in the first phalanx of his right hand, which requires surgical treatment for stabilization.
"Baldwin will undergo surgery and the evolution after the operation will mark his return to the team's dynamic."
