Lammers made 'perfect' impact for ALBA
One of three double digits scorers for ALBA Berlin in its 83-63 win over EA7 Emporio Armani Milan was big man Ben Lammers, who finished with 12 points playing a season-high 25 minutes.
Lammers also had 7 rebounds, including 4 on the offensive end, and that was a big part of ALBA's win, as the team pulled down 16 offensive rebounds.
"I think he recovered from the big flu that he had, and little by little he is playing every time at his level", said ALBA head coach Israel Gonzalez after the victory, which was ALBA's third consecutive win, which matches Lammers's return to the floor after missing Round 15 with an illness.
However, with the team netting 12 triples, and with guards Maodo Lo and Jaleen Smith shining, Lammer's impact was not clear and obvious for every fan. But for coach Gonzalez, it was just perfect.
"Today he played a very good game, especially defensively, intimidating and rebounding. And we know he is able to make the shots, so that's perfect", Gonzalez concluded.
