Lonnie Walker departs Zalgiris

Zalgiris Kaunas has confirmed the departure of star guard Lonnie Walker, who returns to the NBA after a three-and-a-half month stint with the Lithuanian club.
Walker made a total of 19 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague for Zalgiris, averaging 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
The 26-year-old had never played in the EuroLeague prior to his Zalgiris debut in Round 8, having spent his entire career in the United States, playing 341 times in the NBA.
Walker signed for the Philadelphia 76ers, where he will now play alongside 2023 EuroLeague champion Guerschon Yabusele.
Walker had some standout performances during his time in the EuroLeague, scoring 18 points or more in six straight games between Round 10 and Round 15. He set his career high in scoring in Round 13 by netting 26 points against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. He also had 24 points in a Round 11 win over Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens and 21 points in a Round 15 victory against Real Madrid.
The guard's final EuroLeague appearance came in Round 26 against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, a game which saw him finish with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 0 turnovers.
