Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has suffered a major injury blow as point guard Rokas Jokubaitis has broken his thumb.
The club announced on Sunday morning that the injury happened in practice, and the player is expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks.
Jokubaitis joined Maccabi this past summer and has had a role off the bench in the first two rounds of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.
On Wednesday night in Monaco, he gave the team a big spark, posting 9 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in just 13 minutes on the floor.
Maccabi's backcourt will be significantly depleted with Jokubaitis' absence, particularly following the departure of guard Jordan Loyd, the team's top scorer (15.5 ppg.) through two rounds.
