Maccabi signs guard David DeJulius away from Aris
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv announced that it has signed point guard David DeJulius on a two-year deal.
DeJulius (1.83 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Aris Midea Thessaloniki, where he made his BKT EuroCup debut this season. He averaged 14.3 points and 2.7 assists in six games.
So far this season, DeJulius has scored in double figures in every game, including a personal-best 30 against Maccabi rival Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem in Round 4. He made 54.2% of his two-pointers and 41.7% of his threes in compiling a PIR of 14.2.
After playing college basketball at the University of Michigan and the University of Cincinnati, the Detroit native made his professional debut in 2023 in Greece with Lavrio where he produced 14.4 points and 3.6 assists in 13 games. DeJulius finished that season in Germany with club BG Goettingen, where he averaged 13.6 points and 5.1 assists in 20 games. He was 10th in the league in assists.
