The veteran playmaker will suit up for the Serbian club in the coming season
Milos Teodosic pens one-year renewal at Crvena Zvezda
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has confirmed that guard Milos Teodosic has signed a one-year contract extension at the club, meaning his new deal expires at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Teodosic (1.95 meters, 37 years old) returned to his native Serbia last summer by joining Zvezda and went on to average 9.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists and a 10.9 PIR in 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games for the team. Domestically, Teodosic helped Zvezda win the ABA League, the Serbian League and Serbian Cup titles in 2023-24.
Next season will be Teodosic’s 13th campaign in the EuroLeague, a competition he won with CSKA Moscow in 2016. Six years prior, in the 2009-10 campaign, Teodosic was selected as the EuroLeague MVP due to his play with Olympiacos Piraeus. He’s also a member of the EuroLeague 2010-20 All-Decade Team, a three-time All-EuroLeague First Team selection (2009-10, 2014-15, 2015-16), a three-time All-EuroLeague Second Team pick (2011-12, 2012-13, 2016-17), and has twice led the EuroLeague in assists (2014-15, 2016-17).
Teodosic came through at Serbian club FMP, playing there between 2004 and 2007 but spending the 2005-06 season on loan at Borac Cacuk, before joining Olympiacos in 2007. That move allowed him to experience the EuroLeague for the first time. Teodosic remained with the Reds until 2011, which is when he made the switch to CSKA, where he stayed until 2017.
From there, he spent a couple of years in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers before returning to Europe and joining Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Between 2019 and 2023, Teodosic became a fan favorite at Virtus and became a two-time BKT EuroCup MVP at the club (2019-20, 2020-21) before helping the club win the competition as EuroCup Finals MVP in 2021-22. He earned two All-EuroCup First Team nods in 2020-21 and 2021-22, too, as well as leading the EuroCup in scoring in 2019-20 and in assists in 2021-22.
Last year, he opted to return to his native Serbia by joining the club he supported as a kid, Crvena Zvezda. Now, one year on, he has re-upped with the club, meaning fans will get to experience his highlight-reel plays for another season at least.
