AS Monaco has renewed the contract of shooting guard Yakuba Ouattara for the upcoming season. Ouattara (1.92 meters, 30 years old) averaged 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games for Monaco in the 2021-22 campaign. This was his first season in the EuroLeague; he had previously played in the 7DAYS EuroCup with Elan Chalon (2013-14) and Monaco (2018-19 and 2019-20).

Ouattara has spent the majority of his career in France, coming through at Chalon before going on to play for Denain Voltaire Basket and Monaco. He also spent a season in the G League with Long Island and played for Coosur Real Betis in Spain. Ouattara helped Monaco win back-to-back French Cups in 2016 and 2017, while last season he was part of the team that finished as French League runners-up.
