Bjelica will now follow a program to reduce the swelling in his calf. His status will be evaluated on a daily basis, with the expectation being that Bjelica can gradually begin to rejoin Fenerbahce's team practices in the next week.
There was a lot of excitement among Fenerbahce's fan base last summer when it was announced that the 34-year-old would be returning to Ulker Sports and Event Hall, where he played between 2013 and 2015. In his last season with the team, 2014-15, Bjelica was named the EuroLeague MVP and was also selected to the All-EuroLeague First Team.
