FC Barcelona has confirmed that guard [Nico Laprovittola](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nicolas-laprovittola/006435/) will undergo surgery after tearing his ACL and injuring the outer meniscus of his right knee.

Laprovittola's injury occurred during the *Azulgrana*'s Spanish League clash against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on Sunday.

Now in his fourth season with Barcelona, the 34-year-old was averaging 10.0 points and 6.2 assists through the first four games of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign.

As Barcelona states, it will provide another update on Laprovittola once he has undergone surgery in the coming days.

Given the nature of his injury, it is expected that the Argentine will be out long term.
