Olympiacos Piraeus has completed the signing of Tarik Black on a one-year contract, the club confirmed on Sunday. Black (2.06, 30 years old) joins from Bahcesehir, where he averaged 5.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in seven Turkish League matches last season. He will make his return to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in 2022-23, having previously represented Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (2018-19 and 2019-20) and Zenit Saint Petersburg (2020-21) in the competition. Across 50 matches in the EuroLeague, Black has posted averages of 9.1 points and 4.8 rebounds.

Black spent three years playing college basketball at the University of Memphis, and then one year at the University of Kansas, before beginning his professional career with Houston of the NBA in 2014. He then spent the next three years with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, which included a spell with the Lakers's G League team in the 2016-17 season. Black returned to Houston in 2017, but one year later he began his European adventure with Maccabi. In January 2021 he signed a deal with Zenit until the end of the season, and last season he suited up for Grand Rapids of the G League and Bahcesehir.
