Papas (1.96 meters, 24 years old) will begin his professional career with the Reds after spending five years playing college basketball at Monmouth University. He averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 34 games for the Hawks last season. Born in America to a Greek family, Papas was named to the All MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) First Team last season and to the Second Team the season before.

Olympiacos Piraeus announced on Sunday that it has signed rookie guard George Papas for the next two seasons.
